hetalia | Anyone going to Animazement?!

There is a very, very sad lack of anime conventions in NC; there seriously need to be more of them. You'd think there'd be a few in chapel hill, or more popping up in the research triangle, but apparently there aren't. At least SC and VA aren't too far away, since the state is so thin! :3

I'll be there on friday, but, alas, not in hetalia cosplay - a friend and I decided on Loveless earlier this year, and when we finally realized that we were both hetalia lovers it was far to late to switch costumes.
But, at least we'll get to stay until the hetalia fan panel friday night. <3

Hopefully I'll figure out how to style my S. Korea wig. It still baffles me.

There are many people who love anime in Chapel Hill (where I live), but sadly, there's only one convention. Seriously, there should be more.

But damn it, there's a Hetalia fan panel on Friday?! I'm only going for Sat and Sun. DX
I'll also won't be in hetalia costumes but instead doing Naruto cosplay with my friend who is still crazy about it. :/

I am sorry I missed that but now it's in 2 days! XD

I'm stuck in a tiny town inmid-eastern NC, about an hour from raleigh, so we've got precious few (admitted) anime/manga fans. I grew up in a city, though, so the lack of fun foreign food stores, restaurants, and interesting shopping is killing me, slowly and painfully. But a bit of pain is always good for you! <3

Unless the schedule has changed, there is supposed to be one late in the evening, around ten or eleven. I'm gonna take far too many pictures for my own good, and I can post them if you'd like - but I'm sure you'll get plenty saturday and sunday! :3

Cosplays do seem to be a bit of a compromise, sometimes. I'm not exactly enthusiastic about wearing my ritsuka-ears (they're homemade, and surprisingly itchy) or wig all day, but I'm sure it'll be worth it in the end! :)

I love it here, but I'm moving soon. ;w;

My friends and I were planning to drive there after school, but the plan was crushed when one of my friend (the driver) couldn't go anymore and so I guess I'll take as much pics on Saturday and Sunday! X3

I'm too busy to make my own cosplay, so I just borrow my friend's Hinata costume, which isn't hard since I apparently look like her without any wigs. But I think ritsuka's ears will be adorable. XD

I'm going all three days, and will be in Hetalia cosplay. ^^

Viking Denmark on Friday and Saturday, possibly Canada at night if I decide I want something more comfy, and Greece on Sunday for comfort driving home.

Our group's heading up from SC this afternoon! Two of us will be doing Hetalia as England and America (maybe Italy, too?) and I believe someone we met at NashiCon will be doing Hungary there as well. :)

This is England from the above post. I will be doing military fatigues on Friday, casual on Friday night (if you can catch me wearing it before I change again), Revolutionary War on Sat, and I haven't decided which outfit for Sunday yet!

There's absolutely no cons in IN so the anime club at my college has taken up going to the states around us to have some fun. They used to have the standard of going to Acen (and probably will) in Chicago but my junior and senior year we went to Ohio (Anime Punch) and Tennessee (MTAC) because Acen just got too big.

Heh, I wish I had someone to just borrow costumes from - but then I wouldn't be forced to improve.
I'm definitely a less than experienced cosplayer; I had a wonderful *coughsarcasm* time massacring the wig I got for Ritsuka, but the ears were actually a lot of fun to make. Hurrah for hot glue guns!

I'm attending all three days of this con as hetalia characters! Today I'm Russia but I won't be coming till the afternoon due to my sister's classes (I have no car orz) but tomorrow I'm Prussia while she's Austria, then casual!America on sunday unless if I'm up to being wizard!England.

God I love being from Fayetteville, this con is so f-in' awesome! Can't wait for the fan panel tonight!

The panel was awesome, but we got kicked out after only forty-five minutes. We just played a really weird game with Hetalia characters and I got to be the judge, since I was the only Prussia in the room.

... which made me feel kinda sad. XD
