I love Markaite Chikyuu sooooo much better than the other song that they used, but I still think it's an okay song.... just hopefully not going to replace Marukaite Chikyuu as the ending theme. :D

I didn't comment on the original trailer, because honestly I didn't care for it. nor did I feel that it would have made me interested in seeing the anime. It felt like the commercial for a children's show. There were other things about it that I just couldn't put my finger on as well. The mere act of replacing the soundtrack appears to have eliminated everything I hated about the original. Good job! Would you mind passing this along to Fuckedanation. It would really be better for shifting units better than what they are going with.

You know, I prefer this loads to the original trailer. They really should've used MKC for the advertising (and now we can just hope they won't replace the ending theme with something else... I've never understood the dubbing of songs).

Though you should probably put the video behind a LJ-cut and tag the post (a "vids" tag is probably enough) as per the rules.

The trailer matched up perfectly with Italy's MKC. ^^ Good job!

The song seemed to match up nicely for the most part. Good job! I actually do like the original, though; it's happy and fun and, in the end, Hetalia is rated TV-MA. It may not portray the series to the T, but it will attract potential buyers who weren't originally watching the series.

However, Funi will definitely keep the real ending intact. Are people this unfamiliar with anime releases? If the MKC does get dubbed, it'll probably stick to just the English track while the Japanese with the subbed original. The songs may get dubbed for the sole fact that they're character songs, not an unassociated band's song.

If anything, I think the new song means that Funi has a nice budget. Not to mention asking if fans would buy merchandise and what DVD sets would be the best. Funi seems to have hope for this series; they'll be working hard not to screw it up methinks.

I agree they seem to have high expectations for Hetalia, I have a feeling that they saw just exactly how popular and are thinking to themselves "If we screw this up were dead", or so I'd like to think, so there getting fan input and putting a lot of time and care into it

Agreed. And, y'know, I'm okay with that ;) If it means they do a great job with Hetalia and even give it a decent/great dub, then all will be well. Also, I'd love it if they made soundtracks available here or on iTunes. Now, if the release is great, it's just up to the fans to respond to it. In the end, nothing that they do will matter or help the company or convince them that listening to fan response makes a difference if no one actually buys the product.

Yeah, I like both of them! I like Funi because it's just kind of... what the original perception of the series should be, and this one is more for the fans that know about the series already. :D

That's a good way to put it! Honestly, using MKC would make it more aimed at a specific crowd--those who know about the series/watch it. The new one uses a carefree song and English. Now, I love the MKCs, but people who don't watch Hetalia won't know the lyric translation; the English one gives them a perception that one MKC can't.

Hetalia is carefree, fun series to begin with. The first trailer doesn't deny it, and a trailer shouldn't "ruin" a series for anyone (it's the equivalent of not liking a series because of the fanfiction/fanart). I do have this suspicion that some of the Youtube commenters would be praising the heck out of it if were made in Japan (as in, exact same thing, even the song, except placing kana instead of English).
