Curious, being an amateur mixer myself~did you tweak the speed/pitch of either track, just the volume or both? This just inspired me so much that I really want to know how you did it XD

For this mix, I had to do the following:
Excuse me, I'm sorry: pitch -1 (yes, Japan's voice is slightly deeper in this)
Hello China: extracted the vocals and sped up from 138 BPM to 141 BPM

which programs do you use for changing pitch and extracting vocals?

I do almost everything with Adobe Audition.
I followed a tutorial on how to extract vocals from a song (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S0BLpoEYx4U).

I don't usually use FX in my mixes but I had to for this one. (Good to see that I didn't screw up. ^^;)

Yeah, it works... surprisingly well. o.o Really well, which is strange considering that both of Japan's songs have slightly crack-y lyrics. But yeah, especially from 1:40 on the songs mix beautifully!

Hm, no. XD I mean, that's the only "good" one I have - the others I did are very tonedeaf. ^^; (Marukaite Tomato and Marukaite Hamburger - you can guess which songs I used for those. XD)
