FUNI IS GIVING THE HETALIA CHARACTERS ACCENTS AND IT WILL BE FOR MATURE AUDIENCES ONLY.

 

Personally, I adore accents. I'm not worried about the dub because FUNi hasn't done me wrong in the past. Well... they haven't done what they know will be a cash cow wrong in the past. I'm excited for the merchandise and shit more than anything.

I think it's funny that it's going to be TV-MA. Uhuhu.

Oh man, that's a possibility that came to mind about the TV-MA rating for me, too!

I loved ADV's take on "Ghost Stories", though I hope if FUNi goes for a gag route for the dub that they don't overdo it. Shin-chan went a bit TOO over the top at times, I think since it's WWII-themed for the most part though we won't have to worry about too much dead baby-type humor. I'd love to see the island stock footage poked fun at, as long as they do it right (metahumor can go good or bad for gag dubs, it depends).

Cash cows don't necessarily mean better dubbing. A lot of the series that get dubbed and end up being cash cows tend to have...less than amazing dubs.
But I guess it's all about personal opinion.
