Well, it looks as though Hidekaz's Comic Birz run won't be Hetalia after all, but rather a completely new manga altogether.

Just wanted to clear up any confusion from my earlier post.

I guess what this means is we'll have another manga to look forward to from him in addition to the ones he posts on his site. (After all, this news doesn't mean that he's going to stop posting Hetalia strips.)

Awesome! That promo-art of the new character looks super cute! I'm glad to see Hidekaz is getting serialized with a new series. I doubt Hetalia is paying all the bills~

I'm thinking this was, probably, the smart choice. We can expect Hetalia to go on in the same media it has gone on before (which is probably the most adequate media for such controversial material) and Hidekazu can use his talent on things that won't get him in trouble. In other words, it's a good strategy, in marketing terms. Not to mention everyone is happy!

I hate the exchange rate at the moment, if I buy monthly serialisations, I'm gonna run out of money and I'll have to take trips during school to Kinokuniya... but... both Hidekaz AND Higuchi-sensei are having serialisations in the magazine. If I don't buy it, I'll have myself forever.
