And here's the bit about AnimeNEXT: Regardless of whether or not I get a table (I've been waitlisted and do not plan on going to great lengths to secure one), I will be bringing some stock Hetalia cases to the Hetalia picnic. This will probably just be the G8, just because I know people like those guys and it would make things easier if I limited the list (Hetalia's cast is HUGE, as you all know). However, I still have questions to consider; for example, should I design a new case for Russia, or just stick with this Soviet version? And should Germany's icon be the iron cross or beer? Feel free to weigh in.

Ooooh, I'll be at Anime Next! It's too bad you don't have a Belarus one, I'll be cosplaying her and I have an iphone. (Unless I could still comm one from you? =o!!!) Either way these are very cute and I hope to see you at the gathering!

I don't think it would hurt to have both. Some people like the political symbols, others (like myself) stay away from them since they can be misinterpreted. If you have both, you make everyone happy! ;-) Plus I think the beer for Germany would be adorable!

You could definitely still commission one! :D I do already have a pretty good idea of what one of her would look like (unless you have a custom design, of course).

This is true. I will probably wind up making multiple versions of all the characters at some point (Cowboy America, Captain Kirkland, etc), and will try to bring both to AnimeNEXT. There will probably be less of Soviet Russia, though. And I hope so! ^_^

For Russia I think you can do either I know some people would love to see the pipe and for Germany I would say the beer. I can't wait to to see the cases and get canada and italy at animenext

Yeah, I might do different variations of Russia (maybe bloody sunday at some point? It would mean getting to bloodstain felt...). And witht the Germany thing it's more a question of how complcated I want it to be that anything else, but I will probably go with the beer or else think of a third option. ^_^

I know part of the your design is in the eyes, but I think Russia would also be cute smiling. ^J^

...wow. Even that crude emoticon is cute. XD And my vote goes for beer (but you knew that already). Really good job on Japan's cherry blossom!

I may branch out into mouthed faces eventually. Smiling russia would most likely be cute, or, if I go for the creepy version, it might wind up looking like some horrific reimagining of the Mac Face.
