[doujin] Debut
I come bearing a very very roughly drawn doujinshi! It was done a while ago, when I still thought that the UK/HK pairing had a chance of being a cute, sweet pairing. But then recently a very generous anon on
hetalia_kink as well as myself totally JOSSED my own brain and then it took a deep dive into Hell.
Yeah.
Also,
kohikki, I'm working on your request (I know what to draw and everything!), but the current kink meme has made my brain turn into useless mush.
So, here's a doujin from when I still thought of UK/HK as innocent. Ahhh, that was, what...a month ago? *laughs*
Title: Debut
Author/Artist:
youkofujima
Character(s) or Pairing(s): UK, Hong Kong (young), Russia, China, Taiwan.
Rating: PG
Warnings: Very everywhere type of doujin (drawing, dialog, everything). Also, Hong Kong is VERY young (younger than the way I usually draw him)
Summary: Debut of UK bringing Hong Kong to a social event. Takes place shortly after the Opium Wars, which is before the Bloody Sunday Incident, so Russia is shown as having still a speck of sanity.
Six pages. Large images.

(note: these lines were balantly taken from my friend Jenny's comic "Soul Union," during its first draft. Those lines don't exist in her new official copy, completely redrawn, but I really liked it.)

Seriously, I drew this mostly just because I wanted to draw Hong Kong holding UK's two fingers.
This will never happen in my current state of mind. Ever.
Plus it might seem like the first two pages are really out of place, but I had originally wanted to do more pages, including UK saying how HK is a bit reclusive because of being torn from his twin and Russia asking about said twin. UK says he didn't take her becausehe only goes for shota boys Japan had his sights set on that other twin and it would have caused for trouble, and stuff like that.
I'll get to working on scanlations when I'm not bogged down by bunnies. Can someone do the text editing if I do the translations?
Yeah.

I guess I can't really say anything besides all the other stuff that has already been said, what with all the double instantaneous orgasm and all that stuff, because that would get repetitive.
I really really love the isolation of Taiwan in the second page, though. That's what I really like about Hetalia, it makes you much more sympathic to history because of the human anthropormorphism(?) of the countries.
(To be honest, I never even knew that HK was actually not originally part of China until Hetalia. I was one of those 'memorize the answers for the test and forget them the next week' sort of students.)

XD Thank you X333

I think so, because then you tend to think of it as one person who's taking all these hits and doing all this stuff, and as one of my students said "Now you start to think of it as one entity as opposed to an entity made up of a whole bunch of people."
Taiwan's predicament is kinda O_O to be had.
(He was originally part of China, as a port city, but then after the First and Second Opium Wars, was ceded over to UK on a 99 year lease that ended in 1997. HK is currently a special region with a lot of autonomy, as declared by the Sino-British Joint Declaration (I think that's what it's called). But that will end in 2046/2047, where HK will be completely absorbed back into China. I think.)
