First of all, thanks for everyone for a great two months so far on the community, as well as all your concerns and input.  They're really nice and I am glad for your support in things!

Recently, I've been in a real drawing mood, so I'm going to put a couple of doodle dumps over the next couple of days when I have time.  The first one is...well, The Cold War.  A set of two for the price of one!

Originally I just wanted to draw Russia looking like he's about to smack someone with the pipe, but then I went crazy and drew an accompanying America and it became The Cold War.

Not very cold here, though.  More like white hot.  I had fun drawing their faces.

as everyone else has said, great perspective and energy with these images. great movement, and i like the sketchy quality. yay structural lines. though the frontmost hands and their torsos are my favorite bits and expressions.

I decided not to get rid of the structural lines and the sketchiness cuz I figured it would add to the movement as well as the brawl-like nature of the two?

I love how Russia looks...for some reason, he looks more...Cossack-y than in most renditions I've seen. And. And. How can you not love anyone who makes a water pipe look like a battleaxe? seriously, waterpipe. Your brain she is awesome.

Hee, thank you. I want to make him look as...Cossack-y as I can, really, cuz in the original manga, he does have a very defined nose that not very many fanartists draw (it's hard to get the angle right). I LOVE DRAWING THAT WATER PIPE AS A WEAPON. DEAR GOD IT'S SO MUCH FUN. (And weren't the Russians Vikings at one point, too? XDD) Thank you X3 right now it's in a lot of pain, though.

Welcome. I'm a contacts/glasses girl. Glasses at home, contacts outside of home. Glasses are more comfy when you have to face a computer for a long time (while typing fanfic ^^;). Sorry I just lurk. I can't draw to save my life.

I have to say, I just happened to catch a post of yours with your links. I've been looking through everything and this is by far my favorite. You have a good eye on your proportions, and it's obvious in your art that you are interested in what you draw.
