Visual Novel Project WIP! - Little Romance
lol... there needs to be a 'fan game' or 'visual novel' tag on here.. xD I don't think this counts as a 'doujin' either. Anyway...

Summary: Wanting to show you guys what I'm doing/wanna know who's interested in playing.
SUP HETALIA FANS. I've been working on this lame little project for a while. And... for some reason I was going to keep it a total 'ZOMG SECRET' unti St. Valentine's Day - I'm hoping to get a demo out by St. Valentine's Day - that's the plan that is. To get at least 2000-3000 words down for the demo, maybe more or less. (Geez, I HOPE I can give a decent demo...)
The story is a lame generic St. Valentine's Day fluffy romance one. Between Chibitalia and Holy Roman Empire, with hints of Italy x Germany, and some Austria x Hungary.
My game is about the characters Italy/Chibitalia and Holy Roman Empire (with other cameos, like Austria and Hungary) - the narrator is Italy himself, who is reminiscing about the last St. Valentine's Day with HRE while he was living in Austria's house. It's supposed to be a short and silly thing with fluffy kiddie puppy love. As random as it is. -shrug- It's all just practice really, and gets me to do something other than stare at a blank document all day wondering what original story to make up... So it's not all that interesting unless you're a fan of Hetalia and such, and like these characters I suppose. It's also a kinetic novel - which means that you cannot interact with it. There is only one ending. This is a true visual novel.

Character Sprites: 50%
Event CGs: 0%
Backgrounds: 20%
Music: 10%
Script: 5%
Story: 25%

I'm also wondering how many people are interested in projects by my partner and I - we're planning on doing more APH visual novels in the future. We already have some in mind, but we're not just doing APH visual novels though...
So, opinions? A demo will be out by V-day.

I agree totally that the fandom needs more visual novel stuff like this! And I'll definitely play it if its out!
just a question though.. will this only be playable in Windows? or can Mac users also be able? Since I'm a Mac user lol just asking.

I'm not an expert on Ren'Py (main page here--> http://www.renpy.org/wiki/renpy/Home_Page ), but I tried to make really short and sweet 'games' in the past with it. I'm still learning. xD

We are not working on any other projects yet, even though I have some raw ideas I will discuss with her.
At this point I have some ideas in my mind about horror and detective stories, but I can't say anything just yet.
