I like to discuss CANON! So, let's discuss!

Which pairings do you consider CANON pairings? 
Not only established couples but also crushes and Wannabe/soon to be-couples in the canon.

And also, which one is the best? The cutest? The hottest? The most frustrating
The one you would have loved to see in canon?
The best threesome?

Mines are:
Best: Sweden/Finland and Austria/Hungary
The cutest: HRE/Italy and/or Germany/Italy
The hottest: Romano/Spain 
The most frustrating: Austria/Switzerland
Not canon but wish it was: Uk/Japan.
Threesome of win: Germany/Italy/Prussia

I think every pairing is canon. Every country has relations with each other, so it could happen.

I don't really have favorites with pairings, but I'm especially partial to pairings with humans, like UK/Elizabeth I and France/Jeanne D'Arc.

As far as the actual characters in the comic go, I consider Austria x Hungary the only canon pairing as well as America x Southern Belle!Confederacy.

If Himaruya did somehow work Elizabeth I into a strip then I would ship the hell out of her and Arthur though.

I consider US/UK to be unresolved canon. I like the pairing best because they have the rival dynamic that I love, and their history totally reads like a love story. I've also been an America/England shipper irl for nearly ten years.

I remember when I was first new to Hetalia and I was discussing the idea of international relations = ships, and my friend says, "Man, if Hetalia wanted to be super-accurate with its ships, America would be a huge slut." XP Of course, most of them would be crushes or one-sided affairs or twisted little love/hate situations, heh.

I think if you looked through history, you could find evidence for pretty much any pair that's ever interacted, even if it's just a one night stand or something.

Yeah, as far as comic canon goes, Austria and Hungary are it. The others are one-sided at best, if not completely fanon.

Agreed 100% (though Italy x Germany is on the threshold of becoming canon). I've seen people new to the fandom automatically assume that US x UK was canon, only to realize upon reading the manga and watching the anime that the relationship is actually one-sided at best.

Well, I've seen doujins of them so they're not completely unpopular, but I kind of noticed that, too (they're two of my favorites). I've decided to chalk it up to their relationship already being obvious enough and actually addressed in canon, much like Austria/Hungary.

maybe it's because it's kind of hard as a fangirl to be infatuated with Italy's character. I mean, the pairing is romantic and cute, but Feliciano himself is so comical and childish...

*lesigh* i don't think there are really any pairings per say...i mean, the way i see it, the nation's relationships are based off of the actual country relationship. USxUK is personally my OTP, and I honestly think that there's enough going on between these two to be called cannon. However, I still ship AmericaxRussia b/c well..gahh...I'm going to sound like a jerk, but England really isn't on the same playing field as America. I'm sorry, but it's true. There's only one nation that has ever been near the same level as America, and as much as I hate to admit it, it's Russia. RussiaXAmerica should be cannon, since they're really the only countries in the world who can match each other in strength (But they do not have a happy-lovey relationship. I mean, hello. These are two of the most manipulative, yes, America is HELLA manipulative, countries in the world. It's not going to be pretty.)

in the same sense, I also consider FrUK to be cannon. I don't really like it, but these two just have so much history together, it just makes sense. However, I don't see them in so much as an established relationship as in a "hey, let's have sex tonight" thing. They love each other, but they still see other people while in a relationship together...

the others, well, everyone's already covered them...SpainxRomano, FrancexSecheylles, AustriaxHungaryxPrussia, GermanyxItaly, WorldxWorld...:D yea. i support world peace.

Along with Austria/Hungary, Chibitalia/HRE is also a canon couple, whether or not you buy into Germany/Italy being a canon couple (or even the theory that Germany is Holy Roman Empire). I also think that Germany/Italy is a canon couple (Germany's feelings are certainly clear enough, and I do think Italy feels the same way, but that Germany's "strange behavior" in Buon San Valentino just confused him -- after all, he is easily confused and distracted!). I think good arguments can be made for Sweden/Finland and Japan/Greece as well. Don't forget, those last two DID sleep together.

Best couple: Germany/Italy! Hell, I love them so much! Russia/Lithuania is great, too.
Cutest: Chibitalia/HRE, Germany/Italy and Japan/Greece
Hottest: Germany/Italy and Russia/Lithuania (or Russia/any one :P), England/France
Most Frustrating: America/England *ducks* They're cute, but just not my thing! ORZ Same with Poland/Lithuania -- I prefer them as best friends.
Not canon but wish it was: England/Japan, Belarus/Ukraine, Russia/Lithuania (though I think one could argue otherwise), Russia/Poland, Russia/everyone!
Threesome: Russia/Baltics (OK that's a foursome but whatever :P), Germany/Italy/Prussia, Germany/Italy/Japan, Belarus/Ukraine/Hungary (because I love yuri!)
