Today, the 28th is my birthday, Hetalia fans! :D My mother who's quite good at making cakes asked me what I wanted on mine as a decoration. So! I asked her for the Prussian flag. ;D And guess what? She actually made it! Pictures behind the cut so that it doesn't kill your browser.

You definitely should ask her! It takes a while though. If you're curious/seriously considering it, make sure your mom knows that the actual bird and black parts were rolled fondant. :P

I'll tell her that ASAP. :) She made two layers of just normal, yellow cake, and then iced it with white Pilsbury icing, then used rolled fondant to cut the shape of a bird and make the black strips. Then she put the details on the bird with more fondant, and wrote with red icing. ;D

I'll have to look up and find out about rolled fondant...never heard of it. About every other month my kids have a hetalia party with about 9 friends and I think they'd love this. Thank you so much

No problem at all! <333 I hope they have fun. :3 Rolled fondant's kind of cool, actually, it's icing but it's more like... like clay, I suppose. You can manipulate it into shapes, roll it out into a slab form, whatever you'd like! It's a tiny bit smelly, and I don't think you're supposed to eat it. We took it off my cake before cutting it. :P

Really though, no problem. :3 I hope it works out for you! Let me/the Hetalia community in general know what you come up with for a cake? :)
