[Event/Meet-up] Tampa, Florida

Hello, all Tampa bay area and Floridians.

The Renaissance Festival is coming up soon and I noticed how it's really easy to have Hetalia cosplays fit the themes they're going to have, mainly the old timey, colonial, or pirate ones.

If there's enough people interested in attending, or are already planning on going, I'm willing to set more details up for a get together on one of the weekends. Depending on what theme would be best will decide which weekend, though. It goes through Feb and into Mar and its 14.97 in advance to get in. The themes that are most fitting are the Italian Carnivale, Wonders of the World, and the Pirate Fest.

Holy crap, that would look amazing, such a pretty outfit. I'm certain that would fit right in. I mean they're having pirates mixed in with renaissance, which doesn't really make sense, so I think anything old timey works lol. I'm making a pirate outfit that I'm just going to convert to work with my Poland get up.

Oh God, I hope I can go! I was planning to attend the Renaissance Festival anyway, but it would be amazing to have a meetup!

I won't cosplay, but I'll be willing to take photographs.

The hard part will be getting my parents to let me go. They're convinced that everyone on on the internet will either kill, rape, or kidnap me. XD

yay :D There will be a more detailed post eventually. Yeah, a lot of the party/costume stores in the area have a ton of stuff for ren and pirate themed costumes right now, making it easier as well. Hope you can make it!

Yep! I've got a friend working there and she's reassured me that they include pirates, there's even two weekends dedicated to it. I don't think there's much in Tampa that doesn't include a pirate theme anymore lol

I'm still up to going if this is still going to happen. There are just a few problems, them being money and the fact I live 3 hours away hahaha. If I can find a place to stay since I have friends in Tampa, it should be OK and should work out fine.

Yes, still going on, I've been fighting with my friends and boss trying to decide on a date, but it's def. going to be the end of March either the 20th or 28th, when I get an exact I'll post the details in a new post (I'll link it here)

I'm coming from Sarasota, but I think I pass Orlando on the way to Tampa. If you guys want to meet me at a rest stop on 75 or 275 I can try to arrange something to save you at least a part of trip over.

I only have room for three or four people in my car as a heads up.

I'd love to go! My lovino will be visiting the week of the sixth so if it ends up anywhere around that time you can count her in too.

My family brings our ship there for them to use. So we should have at least a truck and a car going in that direction from Sarasota. If anyone needs a ride I'm willing to offer up seats. (Any one south can meet me in Sarasota before I leave and anyone between Sarasota and Tampa looking to save a part of the ride is welcome. Just redirect them to this comment or something, haha!)
