[video] USUK MAD by yours truly
Title: Who Knew [USUK] MAD
Author/Artist: Minuiko (me)
Character(s) or Pairing(s): USUK, Canada, France, Germany
Rating: PG?
Warnings: A little bit of blood, nothing too fancy.
Summary: The history of USUK relations, sort of... I just heard the song, decided it fit a little too well for the pairing, and decided to make a vid. 200+ frames, took about a month to complete OTL
Just gonna copypasta my comments directly from Youtube:
This is what is actually my very first MAD, since the Franada one I posted earlier was made in the middle of this vid. The quality of images changes throughout the video because I acquired Adobe Photoshop after I had already started the MAD. Im sorry, I dont feel like changing it.
DISCLAIMER: I AM AWARE OF MY OWN HISTORICAL INACCURACIES IN THE VID. For starters, the burning of Washington happened during the War of 1812, NOT during the Revolutionary War, but I decided that it fit the dramatic mood of the vid better if placed there. Immediately following that I have the rebuilding of Washington which you already know is out of order. The Louisiana Purchase (and thus Lewis and Clark) happened in 1803 before the burning of Washington, after the Revolutionary War. I think those are all of my chronology errors?
For more clarification, the UK helped the South (portrayed by female America) during the Civil War later on, we have the Battle of Britain with Germany vs. Britain during WWII. Thats about the extent of the history I put in here.
My God did this take every ounce of patience. 200+ frames (236 to be exact), about a months work (although I did do it gradually). And all for a couple that isnt even my OTP. Im taking a break from vid making for a little while to concentrate on school, but Im certainly game for another MAD if I find the right song for the right pairing. Im contemplating a Russia/America one next, and Canada/Netherlands is always awesome. But who knows? No promises.
ALSO: FOR THOSE WHO CAN'T SEE IT BECAUSE THEY'RE IN GERMANY here is a megavideo link, hopefully it should work? http://www.megavideo.com/?v=FN4ZD3U5

I thought this song would be perfect for USUK, but the song is hardly the only thing perfect about this video, wowza.

Fantastic work! You are so talented.

So beautiful! Loved the parts with France and Colonial!America, and how America had so much faith in England, and then ended up saving him and everything.

(Little America attacking France! Adorable!)
There are some frames in this that I just had to pause to look at: Canada & England at the burning of Washington, America's expression at 1:55, the Blitz at 2:23, AMERICA AT 2:51 (gah!)... too many, really!
It's really lovely. I hope that you're very happy with it. I can't imagine how much work it takes to make one of these. -_-
You mention a Franada video? Perhaps a link could be provided? ^^'
Cheers,

Thanks! War of 1812 is one of those moments I love in the Canada/England vs. US part of history xD.

My mom's watched the first episode of Hetalia so whenever she sees I'm doing something Hetalia related she'll come look to see if "that cute little Italy" is there. xD
