[Pics] England's revolutionary war uniform (in progress!)

I'm in the middle of making England's revolutionary war uniform for Uppcon, the biggest convention in Sweden. I would like to get some opinions on how it looks like so far. Since it's a work in progress I don't have a blonde wig, eyebrows, white pants and knee socks yet. I'll change the shirt too later since it's too big. Concentrate on the jacket, people!

Not bad so far but what kind of critics would you like too read exactly? Since I'm a pro I could tell you quiet some things that I would change about the fitting of the jacket... but I don't know if that's it what you need on information.

Well, best would be if you got some picture exactly from the front, the back and both sides, jacket closed and without posing at all. Just standing straight, even the legs have to be straight.

Things I can see so far:
>(as mentioned by antieden before) The sleeves are too wide (especially at the forearm) and a little bit too long.
> The shoulder seams are too long.
> There is a little too much width in middle of the back
> You need to iron the side seams far better but perhaps you just haven't done that yet.
> I'd change something about the strap in the last pic.

You don't have to excuse yourself, it's alright. :)

I small tip for the future:
Get yourself some really cheap fabric like untreated cotton (Ikea has some) and sew the garment from it first so you can see beforehand what you have to change. Can save you a lot of money and frustration. ;)

It looks a bit big! Especially in the sleeves. If you're not going historically accurate, the size of your shirt doesn't really matter as it'd be tucked into the breeches anyway - okay well, even if you were going historically accurate the shirt size still wouldn't matter since those 18th century shirts were pretty wide and massive.

Yeah, he's so.. inconsistent? XD And his art was lazier back when that was done, too.

It's hard fit with that one. While my redcoat fits pretty well, it's fun to get on and off because of that fit 8D Don't forget the vest too! :D

Have fun & post pics from the con :D

Me thinks that, with your hair and small stature, that you'd make a better Lithuania. You did a good job with that jacket though! Keep up the good work~ And maybe think about making a Lithuania outfit soon as well. xD
