Hetalia Semi-AU Pirate RP!
This makes sense, I swear...
There is an explanation under the cut! It's another Hetalia RP site that I'm advertising for a friend, as she does not have a LiveJournal andI'm the co-admin nice like that.

Hetalia, the World
So, in short, this is a semi-AU Hetalia RP.
It's based around the idea if all the nations were still nations, but pirates. Some of the nations were reborn into normal families, but find out that they are not normal humans, but nations instead (it is up to the RPer if they regain their memories of their past life.)
Some nations, however, were not reborn, as they never died, and thus were fully aware of their nation... er, ness. (Usually the older ones such as China, Prussia, and a few others.)
For an example of that I'm talking about, this is our Canada's awesome application.
The site is still new, but the idea is pretty cool and it has promise, so I hope to see a lot of people there~
THE STORY...
For over 1,000 years the pirates of the Land and Skies have been racing against one another to find a hidden treasure that only legend speaks of. No one knows of it's location or where to begin searching, only that it is worth more riches that any single man can imagine...
As time passed on, the treasure was said to be that, only a legend, and most had given up on finding it, but still, to this day crews of both the Land and Skies continue to search for clues that might lead to the ultimate pirates gold...
The Sky Pirates
The Sky Pirates are a rough and prideful crowd and take to the skies with highly advanced ships that allow then to travel through air. They love fighting and stealing, and look after themselves rather than the common good. They follow their Captains without question and would sooner die before giving away their secrets of betraying their crew.
They specialize in technology, deception, and weaponry and with their advantages from the skies without the worry of rough waters, they are a fearsome foe. While they aren't nearly as large in number as the Land Pirates, their tough attitudes and amazing endurance make up for it. Not all of them our out for the fight, but once you have one of them after you, watch out.
The Land Pirates
Like the men of Robin Hood, these pirate fight for justice and the better good of others. They are always at battle with the Sky Pirates and their "shoot first, ask questions later" method of living. They often try to foil the Sky Pirates plans at pillaging or stealing whatever they might be after, in favour of helping the other countries and lands around them.
They specialize in intelligence, tactics, and nagivation. While they don't have the advantages of the skies, they do have the power of the sea at their side. Storms are an easy feat for their ships to handle, and fierce winds only help their sails fly--but big waves are another story. Their ships are the fastest in the ocean, and their strength in number is nothing to turn one's nose at. Once provoked, they'll stop at nothing to defend their honour.

Here's a question, though. Or two. One, their past life as a nation is actually what happened in the world, right? (Like, WW2, and back?) So historical references and relationships are still intact?
Also... are normal-ish, neutral nations allowed?
