I wouldn't have minded a licensing but I'm not very fond of Funi. I'm just not. I was kind of hoping another company like Bandai would grab it but it seems like Funi's the only one with money to spare since... it has every other series. But alas, I'm just being bitter. We'll see how it goes.

But I'll be honest. For me, having no Yuri Lowenthal makes dubs significantly less worth it.

So they'll license the first two seasons but not the 3rd one and the movie (unless the sales are doing pretty well good which encourages to license both the movie the 3rd season).

Well, that leaves the announcements who would be the VAs and possibly, licensing the manga.

I don't give a rat's buttocks who they cast for the dub, because, like every other foreign language show/movie out there, I intend to hold out for subs.

As long as there are subs, I will be ecstatic, and gladly fork over my hard-earned monies for them. I prefer to support artists monetarily by buying an officially licensed product whenever possible.

As for the effects this may have on the fanbase, I've survived HP and Naruto, so whatever. It's not like this fandom is really a shining beacon of purity and intellectualism to begin with.

TLDR: General pessimism about life leads me to be comparatively optimistic about the situation.
