So it's still July 1, and still Canada Day!

Happy 141st birthday to my northern neighbor. Since I can't draw or write or anything, I decided to show my appreciation through cosplay. (Yes, again. Sorry!) I went out last weekend to try and find parts for his military uniform, but I failed. So, um, I looked at a bunch of fanart and found something I could do- just went for a sweatshirt as seen in these pieces. Yeah, I'm lazy. But doing the wig was fun! It was the first time I've dealt with a silly hair antennae.

Thanks to my roommate Rob for humoring me yet again and taking pictures. And yes, that is my pathetic attempt to decorate a cupcake to look vaguely like the (current) Canadian flag.

Slathered the strand with Got2b spiking glue and twisted it a bit so it'd stay together. Wrapped it around a handy eyeliner pencil to make the sproing, then clipped it back against the rest of the head (so when it was released, it wouldn't just fall down). Attacked with Got2b freeze spray and a hair dryer on low. Let it stay clipped for about 18 hours, occasionally re-attacking it with hairspray and low heat. Prayed when I unclipped it. XD

Looking at it now, it's too vertical and the sproing is... actually backwards, I think. Should go out more and down.
