[fanart] 20 Jahre Mauerfall + others.
Title: 20 Jahre Mauerfall + other recent fanarts.
Artist: narcomanic @ Pixiv
Characters/Pairings: Prussia, Russia/China, Russia/America, (America), Iceland, Sweden/Finland.
Rating: PG? (Some blood, some kissing.)
Warnings: LARGE images. Sorry, wide screen.
Summary: A topical fanart for the 20 year anniversary of the Berlin Wall, and after that other stuff I've done within the last month or so.
Previous posts: 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 (Except that it seems all the images are still down thanks to Photobucket. Isn't PB meant to renew the bandwidth in a month or so? It's been down for a pretty long while now.)

Goddamnit, I can't get this uploaded in full size. D< Stupid Tinypic and stupid PB. I hope the text is still readable.

So, the inspiration came from the song Perfekte Welle by Juli, which is where the lyrics come from. According to the Finnish translation of my German textbook the lines mean, "You prepare yourself for the battle and scream: 'I am here, I am free.'" ... Which, in my mind, just screamed Prussia. XD So yeah.
Also, huuuuuuge congratulations to all Berliners and Germans all over the nation for the anniversary! I was born strategically some time after the historical date, so I feel like I'm missing out on something. XD But I hope all you guys are taking part in today's celebrations.
... So then to the other stuff. XD In order of date here, I think.

Previously posted in kalmarunionen, I think... But not here. Was reading up on the great fire of Turku and thought up this.

... Yeah, so, the idea was: "Hey, red is the colour of communism, right? And blood is red too! :DD" But eh. Drawing kissing people is harder than I'd thought and there's still something wrong with the hands... Mh.

This was drawn in response to this illustration on Pixiv. Because you just know Russia would pull off something like that. XD

An illustration for the fan-fuckin'-tastic Russia/America fic,
the_chosen_end, chapter 35, "First Lightning". America goes a little crazy-giggle-happy with a gun.

An appropriate caption might be along the lines of, "So. Explain this Operation Fork to me again, would you?"
Yes, the dark side of Iceland. XD This is what I was babbling on about in here, in case of any kalmarunioners stumbling by. Because, dude, all those volcanoes and stuff have to count for some sort of a mean streak.

Excuse me for a moment of capslocking: MY FIRST EVER FINISHED COMPLETELY DIGITAL DRAWING. ;A;!! I was already getting resigned that I'd never be able to draw lineart on a tablet and only used it for colouring stuff. But, yeah. I tried some of the tutorials on the internet ("try drawing even circles" etc.), but after weeks I never got anywhere so I just stopped. But it doesn't seem to matter much what you do on a tablet, as long as you do something on it. ... This just in case there are other people getting frustrated with their new tablets out there. XD You can do it!

And the final one. Something cute with Sweden and Finland. XD The text reads "Polaris" in Swedish and Finnish, respectively.

The Sweden/Finland one was a great one to end on, it's so cute!
(And I actually love Juli, now I'm gonna be listening to that song all day, haha! Thanks for sharing!)

xD
but to correct you if I might, the lines from the song mean "you're placing yourself into the storm and scream: I am here, I am free"
just wanted to say that since I am german xD

Huh, I wonder why the textbook took such liberties with the translation. Thank you for correcting! At least the end was right. XD

Everything else is excellent too, but that is the one that particularly struck me.

And your picture for the 20 year anniversary of the Berlin Wall, is also pretty good! I was actually checking the Hetalia community to see if anyone had made a picture about it, and I'm pretty glad I found your :). (actually, I was born on 9/11/89 ;))
