Here are two pics that I did on Tegaki E (sorry sorry!) for UK/HK (Hong Kong), cuz I just love the way Hong Kong looks X333  Just SO CUTE.  I know we don't even know his personality yet, but considering the sketches we've seen of him, he seems more than interesting!

"This is mine.  Keep your distance."  But which one of them is saying that?  I drew UK with a more evil face here because I seriously think that his relationship with Hong Kong is not as simple as the way it was when he was raising America or Canada--or even Sealand.  But there's something about Hong Kong is isn't quite China, either. 

To UK, Hong Kong is many things--a child, a foster child, a spoil of war, a strategic point in Asia, a product of rape, many things.  To Hong Kong, what is UK?

Also, in my mind, Hong Kong smells like poppies.  Try to think of why.

In my little fantasy of HK, he likes birds and keeps a ton of them.  In Asian countries, actually, there is a custom where if you own birds, you keep them in cages and then take them out on "walks" and there would be parks where clotheslines are put between trees so you can hang your birdcage on them for your birds to get fresh air.  That's what I think HK's hobby is.  Walking birds when he's not confined in UK's house.

So he's like a caged bird?  Argggghh my braiiinnnss.

I just imagine him in a really elaborate room with tons of bird cages around him.

UK is either giving him the bird (which is a java finch) or he's about to crush it.  Take your pick.

My UK in the UK/HK pairings are evil.  Like Opium Wars era evil.  Sorry.

Stop apologizing! I want to see more evil UK. He's got some pretty heinous history. moriyama_umi and I were talking yesterday about how his interactions would be with India, whenever he/she is introduced.

Hong Kong is beautiful, and I'm happy to see him as he's in my Hetalia Top 5. Aside from the visual quality, what I really like about your pictures is how they're always character exploration pieces (and god knows Hong Kong in particular can use a lot of character exploration). The smell of poppies and the elaborate room full of bird cages really resonate perfectly with my idea of the character, aside from being wonderful images in their own right.
I really like your evil UK. Fanart exists to explore the characters' dark pasts, after all.

By the way, I'm colouring the first picture for my own enjoyment (Hong Kong's pretty face and the poppies kept haunting me) - would you mind if I posted it to the community?

Thank you so much! There's just an image in my head that won't let me go where UK comes into the room where there is a huge British-styled curtained bed and stuff, and UK is sitting with his ankles crossed at the window, surrounded by birdcages of all shapes and sizes. He has a faraway look on his face and the room smells of poppies because of him.

.........*screams* I'M SORRY. And evil UK is evil because he is UK! TT__TT

Thank you^^/ Hong Kong stuff is really rare, and you almost have to dig through a lot of stuff to get to his fanworks, since his name doesn't even show up yet on the search engine. TT__TT
