Here's another fanart that I did on Tegaki E.  One of these days I'll post an actual fanart that I did with something else that is...less...primitive.

I drew this picture purely because I wanted to draw:
-Russia wearing a t-shirt but still wearing his scarf (according to the artist, he'll have that scarf even when he's naked).
-Russia with a strange smile on his face.

(I originally wanted to draw it so that he had a grimace on his face while clutching his heart, but that's just not very "Russia.")

In a way, this is a "jealousy" pic, where Russia is so jealous it's hard to maintain his smile and he's trying to confess but it's not really working so he's starting to snap...

Wow that's intense, particularly if I imagine it in the context you provide. His expression is just painful to look at.
Also, T-shirt + scarf is a neat combination. (Although, wearing the scarf even when he's naked? Is he trying to hide a scar or something?..)
By the way, when confessing you're more likely to say Я люблю тебя than Я тебя люблю (unless, I guess, if you's unsure of which verb you want to use).

Thank you! It was actually slightly painful to draw his face, because it was like torturing him. (I don't know XD maybe?)

Yes, I know what you mean. It's always hard for me to draw heavy angst.
It's fine like this, though, just not what you'd expect to hear.
