World Hetalia Day: New Mexico, USA!
So a few friends and I in Albuquerque are planning on celebrating, but we figured heyyyy why not extend the invitation to other New Mexican Hetalia fans out there? Just in case they actually exist! :D
Tentative plans:
♥ picnic potluck - Of course, it would be great if everyone brought an international dish! We're thinking we could have it at Bataan Memorial park? Other parks are possible, like Roosevelt maybe. ALTERNATIVELY (say, in the case of inclement weather) we could head out to eat somewhere. There are some pretty good places around town that offer international cuisine.Or we could just go to IHOP. Or McDonald's!
♥ international music trade - We also think it would be cool to make a mix CD with your favorite songs in different languages, and then bring a few copies to trade~
♥ Hetalia/history/international trivia game with prizes - Not sure what the prizes will be just yet, but I'm sure they'll be awesome!
♥ cosplay photoshoot, if anyone is so inclined - Cosplay would be great! If not, we could just hang out and take pictures? We were thinking the National Hispanic Cultural Center would be perfect, because...it has lots of flags. XD And it's pretty huge. And we can check out the events they have going on that day, if we want.
♥ Hetalia marathon - If the group is small enough.
♥ other stuff...? - There's also the National Musuem of Nuclear Science & History, the Musuem of National History, uh...and probably other stuff I'm forgetting. But, we're open to suggestions on everything!
I will also be making us some cool badges. *thumbs up*

While typing this up, I realized that if New Mexico-tan existed, he/she would constantly be trying to convince everyone he/she IS, IN FACT, a part of the US (honest). Because that happens to us a lot over here. Just saying.
