England Cosplay + Any Londoners?

Hey,

Me and my friends cosplayed here the other day (just for fun) and we took some pictures! I cosplayed as England/Arthur Kirkland :D Thought I'd share some of the pics... (and yes, alcohol was involved - drunk!Iggy = oh, so charming!) I have so many pictures! This post only contains some of them... I guess it's still image heavy...

Oh, and then I have a little request/question-thingy to ask. I'm moving to (just outside) London October 18. and I'm staying there for 9 months... I know nobody in London (and near by), and ~~since I'm afraid to get lonely~~ I guess I'm looking for other English Hetalia people - you know to talk to, and maybe to tell me about conventions etc in the area... ? >///<

Are you coming even though you don't live near London?

Hello! Welcome in advance! Are you coming from NY? Or is that a clever ruse?? Again, I don't live near London; I'm about a 1:40 train ride away but know main London pretty well. If you don't end up finding anyone closer, I'd be happy to bring some mates and show you round. I agree that you should come to the London Expo if you can! It's pretty small compared to equally notable US cons, and it's just a giant overpriced dealers room with a stage but most fun goes on outside. Myself and friends will be there anyway, so if you do happen to make it let me know!! I'd be interested to see what you make of your time in London as I'm intending to spend some time in the States next year. Anyway, I hope you enjoy your time here and let me know if you ever travel down south!

People are talking about arranging a cardiff meet sometime, and another Hyde Park picnic on the other side of Expo. ^___^ There's a huge Hetalia group going in October (if you look on the forum on the site that you've already been given you'll see it there), and I suspect that there will be again in May. If you keep an eye on that site and cosplayisland.com you should see any meets that are coming up.

I'm the opposite. ^^ I live in London but I'm going to be moving to Coventry for a few months. There is the London Expo in October though, like the poster above mentioned. You'll probably find lots of Hetalia people there!

I'm sorry to jump in but did you say Cardiff meet? I usually live near London myself (about forty mins on the train maybe?) but I am at Cardiff for university, and so I'll miss the Expo. Urm... could you give me any details of the Cardiff meet? I would be eternally grateful to you!

I live near London, and there's always the London Expo, which happens on October 24th and 25th. There's a second one in May as well. I'd be at the October one, but I'm going to Greece. XD

Hey~ just butting in~ Yep, there is a planned meet in Cardiff.... which currently isn't very planned yet ;A; It SHOULD be in November, most likely early November, but details are sketchy atm due to our organiser needing time of work ect.

We aren't sure what we'll be doing yet though XD

And uni at Cardiff? I'm at Newport uni, so about 15/20 mins away from you~ XDXD

Hey~ welcome to England~ :3 You'll find lots of hetalians around London XD I'm not myself (originally from the midlands, but at uni in Wales), but i've been there a few times for the hetalia meets, and there are plenty more planned!!!

I see in a comment you left to someone else you're going to be living in Richmond. That comes under Surrey, I live in Surrey XD Though to Richmond from me in Epsom is about a 45 minute train ride.

Nah that's an aright train ride, it's the same amount of time it takes to get to Waterloo station in London and I do that journey loads of times ^___^

I don't have much ~~any~~ money at the moment because i've been out of work since feb, but i have just started a photography degree so if we meet up in london for a day out or something I can be taking photographs for my portfolio a few times as well to make it a worth while day out money wise lol

If there's a cheap play or musical going during the day we could see that, and I know Leicester Square, Camden Market, Covent Garden like the back of my hand and I could take you to my fav restaurant and stuff if you like? ^_^

oh, I also know a manga/cosplay/figurine store in Leicester Square XD
