1839--First Opium Wars.  I just like the idea that UK probably totally screwed China over (in all senses of the word) during that time period) with the opium and China couldn't do much about it.

One must wonder how sex and everything else normally lumped with pr0n translates into international law. Though maybe we don't want to know the answer.

If the amount of sex in Jfen is any guide, we'd be well on our way to planetary doom by now, really.

Although since the European countries get away with beating each other up for wars and maid-ing conquered territories, maybe that's saved for, er, more controversial things. I'm sure I'm thinking too much about it.
