I really liked this story. I see the America/Lithuania relationship as this kind of cute, perfect in it's time brief thing, like some kind of teenage summer romance, and this really illustrates that well. The relationship is so cute and kind of innocent, especially America, which I think really fits the time period too.

Yeah, it's so sweet and then a little depressing if you think how everything went crappy for both of them right after it, alas! But at the same time it was something that they both probably needed, America needed an influx of new culture and ideas, and Lithuania needed...oh poor Lithuania, at least a few years in the 20th century where things were nice. I'm sure they both look back on it fondly even if it didn't last~.

I hope you do write more!

Lithuania needs someone to hug him, like, all the time, because just reading about his history is depressing, let alone living through all of it. I probably have at least one more fic about these two in the works. Because if Lithuania thinks Thanksgiving is crazy, wait until he sees Christmas! I mean, er, you heard nothing~.

I love the simplicity of Liet & America, it's a refreshing break from the complex, darker tone of his relationships with other nations back home.

I think the serious bits interspersed with the warm, fuzzy fluff keep this becoming too diabetes-inducing, and make the easiness of their relationship even sweeter. Well done! <3 Christmas fic? Yea~! :3
