I know it's sorta early, but I want to start planning my Hetalia cosplay now and I was wondering who else was thinking about going, and who you were thinking of going as.
Personally, the easiest route would be to cosplay Hungary, since I already have long brown hair and finding a green dress/apron/frying pan shouldn't be too difficult. But I get the feeling that there will be a lot of Hungarys for that very reason, and I wanted to cosplay someone that might otherwise not show up at the photoshoot.
So, I was wondering who you guys are cosplaying so I can decide which country needs to be represented. And also, if you have any ideas for me, that would be much appreciated. ^__^ I think I look a bit too girly to really portray someone like England or America the way I would like. I have considered Spain and N. Italy, but my long hair might become a problem. : / Thoughts?
(If anyone cares, my other cosplay for Youma this year will be Asch, from Tales of the Abyss.)

Long hair isn't really a problem for cosplays, just tie it up in a pony or pig tails and put it under a wig+wigcap and you're good to go!
I'm also pretty sure that my group is the one running the panel at said (awesome) con, so we're looking forward to seeing you!

In my opinion, I wouldn't let being worried about other Hungary's being there discourage you from being her. If she's who you like, then I'd say go for it, despite how many others there might be. And as MoV already stated, there's ways to get long hair under a wig cap successfully, should you decide to go for someone else. Our Austria has long, super thick hair, and I usually just put it in two pigtails for her and it works fine.
Anyways, looking forward to seeing who you decide to cosplay (and seeing you at the con, of course)!
(P.S. Woooo Asch! Might just have to bring Anise, then =). )

But like said before me, long hair isn't usually a problem if you know how to play with it right. If you don't like wigs [can't blame you] Hungary may work [or figuring out a way to hide some of it could help give you more options.] There's probably gonna be multiples of a few countries, so pick whichever you think you'll have the most fun as!

And I've got the most adorableist Canada in the world, too.
If you've got long hair, you can get it up under a wig with a fishnet wigcap, just put the thing on like a headband, and sort of shake your hair into it.... There are youtube vids explaining it better.
