Ahaha, I know~! XD I was poring through the icon posts and went O_O at how they're mostly fanart icons. Being a fanartist myself and in amidst a group of fanartist, unproperly credited fanart icons (4chan DOES NOT COUNT) make me feel guilty so... UGH XD";;

Well--credit is not mandatory for my case but most people prefer to be credited so it's good practice. Let's see. When you go to to your Upload Userpics page and up something, there are 2 columns which you can fill, yes? One is keywords and the other is comment.

Simply write [lj user="the username of the iconmaker/ icon community"] under comments, replacing "[ ]" with "< >" :)

It would look something like this (http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd158/joey_fraser/samplecredit.jpg).
