♥Cute little desktop mascots - Latvia & Sealand♥
I can't figure this out, but I'd really like to, I'm sorry if someone else has talked about this before but I didn't see it. Can anyone help?

FIRST, download this program, SSP. It's better than the "Crow" program that Himaruya provides.
http://ssp.shillest.net/archive/ssp_2_01_54f.exe (http://ssp.shillest.net/archive/ssp_2_01_54f.exe)
THEN, download this package of the Sealand-Latvia mascots:
http://kitayume.sakura.ne.jp/ghost/sealat.nar (http://kitayume.sakura.ne.jp/ghost/sealat.nar)
Install ssp_2_01_54f.exe
(I dunno, put it on your desktop or something? lol.)
The SSP program should install into a folder called "ssp_2_01_54f". Open that up and you should see a folder called "ghost". Put the sealat.nar file in that folder.
Go back to the main folder "ssp_2_01_54f". Open the file "ssp" (the icon should be a cute pink bow with a yellow bell). A crazy cat-girl should load up and start talking to you! Her name's Emily.
Now, right-click on her and a menu should come up (hopefully it's in English). Open the option "Change Ghost" and pick the one that's not "Emily/Phase 4"! Sealand and Latvia appear to amuse you with their cuteness!
Now, if you want to be able to read the Japanese, that's a different case entirely. I can help you with that too, if you need it.
Let me know if you need any other help or if this doesn't work! (Or if it's confusing XD)

Try dragging the .nar file onto Emily. I think that makes it load? :D

1) go to the configuration screen
2) click on the icon of a little globe which should be called country configurations or something along those lines (mine is in dutch so I can't say for sure xD)
3) once you're in the country configurations menu, there should be a tab that says "advanced", go there.
4) at the top of this "advanced" tab there should be a dropdown menu under the heading "Language for programs that are not Unicode compatible". So go to this dropdown menu, select Japanese, reboot your comp and it should all work.
do be aware that it will sometimes make random other menu's japanese :T like for me, when I needed Java updates, suddenly the install menu was in Japanese xD so if that's a problem maybe you should reconsider .__.;
hope this helps lol

Okay, so I got it up and running, but when I try to change the language to English, there's a little window-thing that comes up and says:Language change may take effect after restarting SSP. Now, what I'm wondering is how do you restart the program? ;;; (Sorry for all of the questions ;;)

There's no translated version of the speech bubbles (yet).
Maybe I can look into that.

Okay. For now shall look at their cute faces (And Russia who scares the crap out of me when he appears on my screen ;;)
And that would be really nice and much appreciated. ♥

I have this AppLocale installed (http://alcahest.club.fr/perso/apploc/applocale.html) on my computer that gives me the option of running Japanese programs without going to change your settings and restart blahblah blah. Basically you right-click on any program and choose "Locale Japanese" and it'll run and it works with games and even this cute Hetalia program thingie :D
