I remember having heard about this event for the first time by reading a famous poem written by Victor Hugo (and then we spoke about it several times in history or literature class -when studying XXe or romanticisme-). It was such a tragic event... You caught the tragic of this event perfectly. It is a beautiful pic.

You are very welcome!

I think it is a very sensible topic :/..; (well, most of the topic depicted in Hetalia, and in History in general are that way, but the Turkey/Greece old rivalry seems to be a really hard thing...). Though, I am not a specialist about it. Last year, we studied the Ottoman Empire, and all the conflicts between the different countries/ (religious/ethnic/...) community made me feel very uneasy because of all the violence and the terrible consequences (and also the fact that I find it sad to have to fight that much to be able to have a place to live...).
I wouldn't be able to draw about those kind of things but I think you managed to do it very well!

Yes, I understand! Yes, I agree with that! Before reading Hetalia, I was a bit anxious of the way it would depict the various relationship between countries and I wondered how it could deal with the so dark and horrible WWI and WWII in a funny way, for obvious reasons. But actually, it managed to do it very well and lightly because of this magical ability you are mentioning ;). I usually don't like making fun of serious events like that, but in Hetalia I think it is made in a very wise way, without hard feelings at all.

Yes, since I am French, it is not that impressive that I read it. You almost have to read it when you are a French student ;). This is a classic of French poetry :3.
