Hi, newbie here *waves* Don't have anything to post yet so I thought I should start commenting other peeps' posts...

They are adorable! Love the drawing style, the coloring and the shading!<3<3<3 Thank you so much for sharing this!

What I understood from the explanations in the APH site is that Greece has always had good relationship with Japan. I think it says the Greeks started to have special interest in Japanese culture long before any other European country. Also, in most conflicts it tends to be on Japan's side.

The site also says that Greece hates Turkey but Turkey loves Japan (again, they also seem to have special interest in Japanese culture) so there's a kind of "love-hate triangle" Greece ->Japan<-Turkey.

Actually I think I've read something about Japanese culture having a lot in common with the Ancient Greek culture... that they have the same point of view in many things ^___^

The Greece x Japan thing started in earnest, I think, with the comic involving Greece actually sleeping with Japan. It was a gag based on statistics concerning countries and sex. People in Japan have the least sex in the world, and people in Greece have the most. It ended well, needless to say. x3

Greece/Japan started because according to the author, lots of Greek people really love Japan and go there to study and stuff. It was popularized when a few strips featuring Greece and Japan showed up. I think most of them are translated here (http://community.livejournal.com/hetalia/59970.html#cutid1)...

Um,supposedly(according to my Chinese teacher) in the real world one thing that happened with Greece and Japan was China and Turkey/Ottoman Empire had great trade realations along the silk roads. When Greece and Japan became independant and eventually found eachother they decided to trade to get even with their respective enemies...

I don't know if that's what really happened, but that's what I've heard...
