After finally working up the courage (and time).

Of course I decide to come out of lurking after dumping not so huge amounts of time into a project.

Anyways, I made a TVTropes entry for Hetalia here: tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/AxisPowersHetalia

For those unfamiliar with TVTropes, it's basically a Wiki for common tropes, plot devices, et al in various forms of media.  I figured that Hetalia has been popular enough to warrant an entry, and I wanted to invite the members and readers of this community to go and have fun with the entry!

I wasn't quite sure what tags to put this under, so please feel free to correct me.

... I think it needs an I Am Not Making This Up, since Hetalia was linked in the Webcomic part of this trope for AGES now.

(And I really need to get myself an account :( The Troper > Anonymous. *gets shot*)

I love you for adding Arthur as tsundere and Italy as ditz. I really, really do.

[identity profile] synatri.livejournal.com 2008-10-25 01:01 pm (UTC)(link)
... Although I really disagree with Germany being tsundere. I really don't think he's tsundere as much as he's the type to be stern and formal out of habit. :/

I'm happy that this finally got an entry on TV tropes. I hope the entry gets better.

A couple of pointers: Sealand got the Big Ol' Eyebrows, Canada has an idiot hair. Germany is a tsundere in a way.

But I lol'd at the amount of "I Am Not Making This Up" links because it's truuuue.

Oh noes, a link to TVTropes. There goes my free time... *sob*
Kudos to you for this. Oh, and I really love that introduction there =D

Oh noes, a link to TVTropes. There goes my free time...

You can say that again D8

It's all so fascinating... I just can't resist the call of 'open in another tag' and end up spending sooo much time on there. Not even Wikipedia has this sort of power over me... D8

Once I lost about 15 hours of my life on that site doing exactly that.

[identity profile] lemiru.livejournal.com 2008-10-25 09:32 pm (UTC)(link)
I-I'm so glad that I'm not the only one with this affliction... It's just so INTERESTING! How am I supposed to resist?!

It is! Though it's a bit frightening to find you lost an entire day without realizing it.

Ooooh, finally! It's great to see Hetalia up on TVtropes. I agree on plenty of the points too, and discovered a new one. I had no idea Bokukko was a trope *facepalm*

And yay, Italy got the 'eyes always closed' trope!

Hetalia & TVTropes, two of my favourite things finally united!

You're my new favourite user. :D

YAYAYAYAY A TV tropes page for APH! I love this site so hard. Will be contributing... later!! /procrastinate

Hnnggh things to change...

I think it was a tomato crate, not an orange crate. ... It was in the book, anyway.
Probably best to add spoiler blanks to the Chibitalia section.

... More later.

[identity profile] rainy-takako.livejournal.com 2008-10-25 06:19 pm (UTC)(link)
I looked and the site says Oranges, the book says Tomatoes. I guess it doesn't really matter, but tomatoes does make more sense.

I love that site...

Sometimes in the series, I feel as there should be a "You Should Know this Already" because giving spoilers is like... impossible if you know how the war ended lol.

... Yeah, now I'm going to be obsessed with filling out examples. At least I have something to do while between classes while avoiding studying.

I'd say "you gotta have blue hair" isn't actually very accurate. After all, the hair colors in Hetalia ARE natural. If anything, Europeans have blond hair because it is, for simplistic purposes, the dominant hair color in the region, opposite brown/blacks in Asia.

...thanks to you, I wasted another good four hours on that site ;A;

Other than that, thanks for the page! I was waiting for a Hetalia one~

Oh God! TVTropes! YOU WIN.

Also, America has a half-ahoge, doesn't he? And Austria too...!
What do you think...?
