World Stars chapters discussion thread
Hi everyone !
This thread is dedicated to discussions about World Stars chapters, feel free to bring up any point no matter how old the chapter might seem to be, discussions are always gratifying.
I will try to keep this list as up to date as I can (and if this this doesn't turn out to be pointless necromancing), the translations are done by the hetascanlation team, many thanks to them!

It's nice to have a neat list of what was what, since a couple of people don't like the emperors.

Hopefully we could get a bit of activity here, once in a while.
Do you personally like those emperors' stories ?

Still, the emperors were fun and interesting, and I like what Hima did with them.

I think what Hima's done with the Roman emperors reminds me of a historical manga series I read a few years back called Samurai Deeper Kyo. All these real guys from history got total bishie makeovers, which seems to be the norm for anime/manga? It's a very effective way of getting people more interested in history at any rate :P I just remember being a little disoriented when I saw the real guys...even though I knew better.
I prefer the nation stories as well. I like seeing Germany and Italy's relationship in a more modern context (it struck me as mostly historical before? I like how they're still dorks today), though it seems like the events of Buon San Valentino are forgotten...or is it? What was that about when Germany said 'We can't get married anyway...' when Austria kind of proves that as untrue :P Maybe we'll find out more later.

Yeah I've seen some of those types of manga, I enjoy historical pieces, but systematic "bishification" make me a bit... uncomfortable ? Many western comics (and I'm sure eastern ones too) can pull off using historic content without making everyone a pretty boy or sexy woman. Though, in my book, at least one or two beautiful characters can't hurt, as long as it stay true to recorded data... Well anyway, I'm nitpicking here! Considering Hima's style he obviously would make them appear cute even if he wasn't intending to! lol
Yep, the nation point of view is definitely more modern for now, I hope that he will alternate a bit between past and present stuff, and a bit of historical characters once in a while. There was a bit of a reset of the relationships with the new serialization, but I'm willing to bet he will go in the same direction one way or another in the future!

I looked at the Japanese version of this comic first and found it kind of funny-adorable how Hima put "in" in Western letters, but everything around it in Japanese. XD
Sorta reminded me of his bathroom "written in English".
I love it when he does randomly senseless stuff like that.

Hima sure loves his bizarre stuff, doesn't he ? The mere existence of the mochis proves that! x)

I wouldn't mind keeping him as an occasionally appearing character even outside the emperor timeline.

That custom won't end anytime soon right ? ;)

The power of nekomimi truly is something to behold...

I'm pondering whether this thread ever had any purpose or not. This really seems like pointless necromancing...
I guess I will let it sits for a while; the few Livejournal folks left don't seem very keen on discussion for now.
The other discussion thread is pretty much dead too at the moment. Anyway, people might want to create brand new specific threads for their future talks, noticeable at a glance.
Without further rambling, good day! :-]
