But, yeah. I think we're ready to panic at this point.

Really? Ah it's just that I was so impressed with this strip that I thought I should post it since I haven't see an entry yet ^^'!
I really want to think that althought he don't have his "nation powers" anymore, he'll not die or disappear so easily since he lives with Germany and haven't aged in the past years (I think he kind of became a normal person and because of it he can't heal so fast and is more vulnerable in general, but since he's not aging, maybe he'll be alive as long as Germany is around too?), but even so, it breaks my heart because Gil is such a lively guy and one of my favorite characters ;;

But holy hell, this is an ominous strip ;w;

Cause I didn't see any ship in this... if I didn't mistakenly understood your words...

Every event a lot of us worried that something was going to happen to Prussia where he was going to be mortal, only for everybody to calm down and figure it'll never happen.
But this comic, holy cow. Either Hima's trolling/misleading us (I hope ;_;) or....
I've really grown fond of Prussia; I like his outward funny, boisterous demeanor, always ready for a fight, contrasting with his more serious, sometimes uncertain and melancholy moments. Hima's always characterized him very well, and this flute playing kind of shows the latter half of his personality. It's also interesting he mentioned being bored out of his mind; it shows Prussia's had little to do since he was no longer an official nation (really explains most of his antics, come to think of it).

Please Hima, I don't want to cry every time I see a flute.no subject

What does the bite mark mean?
RE: What does the bite mark mean?
Oh, I forgot. According to canon, when they lose that status they can either turn into humans like the Republic of Nikoniko (the micronation that was in Japan) or they simply disappear one day.

Am I alone in this?

He is not dead yet, hes still alive and kicking, but it has been hinted before that he will be around as long as West needs him, so it has been hinted that he would die, though that probably wont be for a long long long time.
I kind of agree with you.
But this whole thing were fans are saying "Hima killed off Prussia", kind of bugs me because, hes not dead yet.
I do admit it is ominous having this strip on All Saints day and Dias De Muertos.
But again, HE IS NOT DEAD YET!
I want to add that this chapter is one of many that show what a wonderful big brother he is, and how much he cares for his little brother.
Also more hinting Germany is HRE.

If it really was like that, then I think I would prefer Prussia to depart/disappear too, we've seen how this could affect someone if they lived such long lives(France and the Soldier strip)...

But, er... still kinda afraid for Prussia.... Yeah

(Davie hit me really hard, I was legitimately crying over that one the more I thought about it). And at the end of this, it just really solidified for me the fact that Prussia is changing, whether he is becoming more human or is loosing his abilities as an nation and is closer to disappearing, or something else...I love all the talks I've been seeing on here and Tumblr of what it could be, such as with him living with a nation he might be prolonging his life, there possibly being a new role for him still left to fulfill, suffering the consequences of wanting to stay a nation and not just become a human
(Hima-papa did say it would be much harder for an established nation to become human versus what Nikko Nikko Republic did), it's very interesting to hear all of these theories! An ominous strip, but Prussia is still alive and kickin'. I'm more curious as to what he is now and how that status will affect his future.
