Hey guys! I saw this in twitter but apparently there will be a new Hetalia series in the new Shounen Jump +

There are not enough words to express how I'm feeling right now! I'm so happy Hima is back! I'm just hoping he won't burn himself out doing these. I hear these will be twice a week?

Yep, they're supposed to be bi-weekly, and I'm guessing the date at the end of the comic is when the next one is coming out (I'm assuming), which is 9-26.

I have mixed feelings about this...
It's nice to see some activity again, that's really good! But... still not a word from Hima on the blog. And now, with that new schedule, he'll have to work even more, and he was never all that good with time. Won't he overwork himself again at this rate? And what does this mean for the blog? And if it's for a published magazine, how much freedom does he have to draw the characters as he wants, and how much will the comics be influenced by higher-ups?

Hetalia has been serialised before, in Comic Birz. However, it was monthly, and even then there were times when he needed to skip an update; towards the end the artwork was notably lacking (no backgrounds, sloppy inking, etc.)

Generally he doesn't really update his blog when the comic is being serialised, unless it's to promote something like a new manga volume. However, if I remember right, the reason Hima's contract with Gentosha fell through was because they were trying to regulate his blog updates, so maybe Shounen Jump is allowing him to do whatever? I'm just a bit worried because he does have a VN he's doing the artwork for, among other things ;;

This is good news, I mean, it is finally happening!

I'm pretty sure that somewhere along the way, I was expecting that there should have been a change of publishers around, given he was working on Jump SQ until earlier this year, explaining why there wasn't anything new release of the series anywhere especially after the sudden discontinuation of Comic Birz serialization (like, when was the last time he worked on something in there? last year?). So, yeah.

What I did not expect (oh, I was expecting that Shueisha was going to change around their Jump digital manga's availability format some day... but not like THIS, nor really that SOON) is that they are doing not only 'reprinting' old material from their titles, but also including new original content as well... and THAT Hetalia would have been one of those exclusive new contents.

Which perhaps makes it true that Hima wasn't working under good circumstances with Gentosha in the past few years...
