I'm not entirely sure what I was expecting, but goodness, that was depressing. (And yet, I really do enjoy these kinds of strips.)

In a way, it shows more of the reality of Hetalia aside from the silliness and happy times we're normally shown.

The ending is so bittersweet ;_;. I really loved this strip and I'm so glad Hima is back.

And as for the white space, you image is too large and doesn't fit in the space on the community layout ^^;;
As per community rules, the preview image before the cut should only be a max of 300px for height and/or width so I'd suggest downsizing it and then adding the full picture under the cut :)

Ah Hima is just a master of subtly tragic stories, especially the ones where humans and nations are featured. Thank you for the post!

I'm so happy Himaruya made this strip, even thought it's so sad :( It's always interesting to see something about how nations function in relation to humans in Hetalia, we don't get enough of those, even though again, they're usually tragic.

Oh nooo ;A; what a thing to come online to! Himaruya your updates really know how to tug at the heart strings lately. First your text post explaining that if normal humans spend too long with nations then they'll lose a sense of time and eventually lose their mind, and now this!

T_T That's just what my morning needed.
I did not see that coming in canon Hetalia, at all.
I know we've had similarly themed stories, like the one with France in "Though I May Depart, You Shall Remain", but this caught me completely off guard for some reason. Maybe it's because America's face in the second to last panel is so heartbreaking and innocent.
Absolutely beautiful. It's things like this that just reinforce my love for Hetalia.

This is really sad. The feels...

I love human-nation interactions and I love serious!Hetalia. It's amazing when Himaruya does it himself. ;w;

It's like Hima stumbled upon one of those angsty nation plus human fics and said "lol, 'that the best you can do? Watch this!".

I was JUST thinking that.
Fanfic is one thing, but canon angst (with Chibimerica)...just. ow. ;_;
It doesn't help that Himaruya did an amazing job with his portrayal of this sad human-nation relationship.
