Help buying from Surugaya shop >.

I was looking at the suruga-ya online shop but just as I found some items I wanted to buy I saw that they only ship in Japan!
So as a call for help, does anyone know a buyer/agent that could purchase the items from the site and then ship it internationally to me, or if anyone would like to offer their assistance? I'll pay for all the shipping fees and even an "agent fee" for your troubles if you provide a reasonable cost ^_^;

The items in question were:

I could do it for you. I have a box coming using FromJapan this month so it'd be cheaper for both of us. I'd need the money to buy the items upfront though.

EDIT: As for fees it would be 680 (item 1) + 3580 (item 2) + 400 (FJ's commision) = 4660 before any "agent fees" as for an "agent fee" I am thinking that $5 is fair which would make the total 5160 in JPY before any shipping.

You'd pay the 5160 to me using PayPal and then when the items come in I would tell you your part of the Japan to me shipping and then shipping to you. I've shipped a plushie to Canada before and it was $8 I highly doubt the mochi will change the weight to much to worry about.

If this is all okay then you can send the 5160 as "gift" to KariHermione@gmail.com and I will get the items ordered for you.

It normally takes about a week for me to get things once they have shipped from Japan.

Oh! Sorry. /o\ I honestly can not tell you what the shipping fee is going to be exactly because there are so many variables. It all depends on how the company ships to the service, how much the package weighs, what the shipping rates are, and finally what the JPY to USD is looking like.

Got it! The items have been ordered, paid for, and are now being processed! I'll send you a PM when they get to my service.

Even though the OP has been helped, can I still ask if anyone knows any proxies? I've got the same issue, thanks!

FromJapan is the best proxy that I know of. They aren't perfect but they're cheap and good for the most part. They've only ever forgotten to order an item for me once.

I know this post is kind of old, but if you're interested, Surugaya also cross-posts to their Rakuten shop: http://global.rakuten.com/en/store/surugaya-a-too/ (http://global.rakuten.com/en/store/surugaya-a-too/). Surugaya will ship internationally from their Rakuten shop. If you find something you want from their main site, http://www.suruga-ya.jp/ (http://www.suruga-ya.jp/), then just input what's in 管理番号, such as ZHOTI43565, into the entry field called "Search inside this store:" on the Rakuten website, and it should show up. Be aware that if the item is newly posted to their main website, it won't show up on Rakuten until they post it there.

Other things to know:
1.) They ship by EMS, which can get expensive (here's the link on all their international shipping info: http://www.rakuten.ne.jp/gold/surugaya-a-too/info_en.html (http://www.rakuten.ne.jp/gold/surugaya-a-too/info_en.html)).
2.) You can communicate with them in English through e-mail.
3.) They will send you a confirmation e-mail that they want you to respond to, but it will be in Japanese. If you don't respond, they will usually send the e-mail again but in English. You must respond to it so that they can proceed with the order.
4.) You must use the same address for shipping that you have for your credit card. Otherwise, they will cancel the order because their system will respond with card fraud.

I think that's pretty much it. If you want something newly listed on their main website and are worried it will get snagged before making it to their Rakuten site, then you will probably need to use a proxy service (or a friend in Japan). Sorry this is so late, but I hope this helps for future purchases!
