Ni hao!Nice to find such a place!
I’m a Chinese, maybe I only have the qualification to talk something about my own country, though my favorite character in APH is Prussia.
I’m very curious about China’s image in your eyes, discussion and query are welcomed↖(^ω^)↗
I’m a beginner of painting; please forgive my poor skills and my ridiculous English.
Here are some points I want to say:
1) China is definitely a man, although he is kinda girly. In ancient China, both men and women have very long hair, and there are some reasons hard to explain, but I like the setting of ponytail. China don’t like to go to extremes, that’s kinda similar to his brother, but it’s hard to change his opinion completely, he may listen to your advice patiently, and he will change his practice if you force him to, but he refuse to change his thought in his mind. Yeah that’s a bit feeble, and that’s why he looks like a girl.
2) He feels very lonely. You know, in geography, china’s east and south are oceans, his north and west are highlands, it’s difficult for him to communicate with others, he might have some exchange with ancient Roman, but it didn’t have any big effects on his history, when ancient India and ancient Greece had conflicts with other civilizations, he just stayed alone in the east, he used to think he is the centre of the world, and do not know there are other countries in the world, sometimes he feels lonely, but he got used to it gradually, and he can manage himself very well, he was so strong and proud that even thought he can live by himself forever, until his door was forced open by England.
3) He doesn’t have a sense of security. His modern history is just like a bad dream, being invaded by other countries, having civil war himself, even today, he still lives a kinda poor life, his people have stood poverty for a very long time, they are always feeling worried if their property get lost again one day. He want to make money, want to have more money, only by this way can he feel safer, sometimes he makes money in a wrong way, you know, food security is very poor in china. The military expenditure of china has kept increasing at a high rate recent years, he has territorial dispute with Japan, Vietnam and some other countries, there are some parts in his home want to be independent, North Korean is worrying, the most important thing is that, America worries if he has a intention to dominate the world, it’s unnecessary, China is still very weak and will be a developing country for a long time. The instability both in his home and outside his home makes him feel unsafe, that’s why he spends a lot of money on military.
4) He has a complex emotion to old things. England is proud of his old structures and conventions. China is not the same, there are also many old things in China, he love them, but feel contradictory as well, he destroyed some of his old collections and tried to build new things because he don’t want to be abandoned by the times, the buildings in his home are renewed frequently, his people know it’s a waste of money, but he just can’t stop doing that. Hopefully, he started to pay attention to his customs recently, some international holiday has been shorten, more and more people choose to celebrate traditional holiday like mid-autumn festival.
5) (This point is difficult to deal with, I love the couple China×Japan，so it’s mostly based on my imagination )He started learning to take responsibility after being betrayed by Japan. He was very wayward when he was young, what he did is completely dependent on his emotions (but he really doesn’t like to invade other countries). He treated Japan nicely, and he believed Japan adored him, but he didn’t know what responsibility means, both to his people and to Japan. After being sold opium by England, he became a sick country, Japan was forced to sign some unequal documents with America, but China didn’t protect him as what he did in the past. I guess Japan begin to hate China at that time, like: you should be the strongest, you should protect the whole Asia, but you didn’t, you are keeping on being a sick country, if so, it is better that you destroyed by me than by others. China can’t forgive Japan even today, but he also knows he was completely wrong at that time, the weak is always being teased. He started to take responsibility to the world.
(I have a kinda selfish wish, I hope someone can write a historic fanarticle about china and Japan, not by a Chinese or Japanese. I think they will never feel comfortable to make joke on their dark history, but as a Chinese I really love this couple, maybe there are some, I will try to search
6) He doesn’t like to be treated as an old man. It’s a truth, he is very old, even China himself can’t remember his real age, maybe 5000 or 4000, but he believes that he has a young heart, even though he sometimes talks like an old man unconsciously.
7) He doesn’t believe there’s god in the world, because he is an immortal himself. This brings a lot of suffering to him, some young people in his home feel unsatisfied about life or at a loss about future. He knows it’s not good if don’t have belief, but he doesn’t know which religion to believe, the impact of religion is always hard to grow in his home.
It was April fool day yesterday...maybe it's late, I tried to draw a picture of Arthur in maid suit...maid suit might be kinda old-fashioned recently(so many pictures about that), but it's my first time to draw something about thatO////O
forgive my poor skills, it's always difficult for me draw England, so I tend to partice...I am so stupid that don't remember what maid suit likes...and there's no time to fill color...

We planned to visit a traditional English house with fireplace(the magic in Harry Potter with fireplace was so impressive), but our teacher said she will check our work tomorrow, so my friends dropped the plan, and I decided to do something to return back to Iggy(no! I colored that bad picture, the lines are just messy, it's kinda difficult, and I roughly colored it...now I should get into my work:(

As a Chinese yourself, you have any headcanons concerning India and China together? I mean, I have some of my own, but I don't really know if they are too way off-character, mostly for China's part, and I'm kinda curios to know what's your opinion about them two, if it's not a big problem to ask...

I have always thought that, in fact, India and China both have similar ages, so they are the "oldies" in Hetalia... and that they have this kind of friendship though sometimes they do really dislike eachother. They meet often but most of the time they are just picking on the other or something like that... But I do really believe they got along quite good when they were kids or something like that. IDK.
Oh really? Didn't know that! I sometimes really hate knowing so little about eastern cultures, honestly, I feel so stupid!

In fact, it is widely acknowledged that, Russia's best friend in Asia should be India, becasuse of the geopolitics.
I'm sure they got along very well when they are kids~Buddhism is from India, It's the most popular religion in China, I am looking forward to see their chind appearance~❤
That's ture that China and India are all very old, but, India today is very different from acinent India, I've read a book about that, because of the conflicts between old civilizations, their customs and cultures changed a lot, that's why in China, we used to adding an ancient before India, Greece and Egypt, when we talk about history, but Chinese speak a same language read the same books and have the same festivals as their ancestors, that's what we knew from chinese text books, it might be different in other country's books, that's why I'm curious about China's image~
I started to have headcanons about their choice for different ways, they might have qurrels, but finally they dicided to keep silent to each other.
Don't feel stupid!The eastern cultures and history are always too complex to know!(so do the Western) I dropped the history and politics class without hestation during my secondary school, but if you feel interested in that, I'm glad to talk to you something about that .\(^o^)/~

That's mostly what I think. I like to talk about their relationship as a "Tiger and Dragon" one. As far as I'm concerned, in Chinese Horoscope those tend to fight and quarrel a lot because they are quite opposite in some aspects and quite similar in others. So, basically, India is the Tiger and China the Dragon: both quite have a "leader" attitude, but in pretty different ways. But, as you have said already, they probably decided to keep silent to each other. After all, they are like, facing opposite ways nowadays, so they have no real thing to argue about (?)

China possiblely can't be counted to one of the oldest countries if compared to some countries that have disappeared, but we are pround of the completentess of our culture, it's a truth that we are now following the step of west(so called chinese style development route), since we have no choice...acutually I am not sure about India's true age as well, I don't know what china's thought(media in China is not so transparent), but I do hear some news that India treat China as a threaten...oh I find their relationship is so complex gradually...
Chinese Horoscope! You mean 青龍 and 白虎? There's also a saying that they are very good partners. I am so superiesd that you know Chinese Horoscope! There are two more main horoscopes: 朱雀and 玄武（maybe rosefinch and tortoise in English? but actually very different, Chinese rosefinch is more similar to phenix,) I don't know how much you know about these...do you know they take over East West South and North respecitively?and they represent five basic elements expect soil(wood water fire and metal, soil is always put in the middle) in chinese culture?

Yeah, he's such a cute guy! And I can really say he is SO very Spanish-like. I really love him, as a character itself and as representation of my country ^^ Well, at first I thought at all the tomato thing "wow, Hima, we are not OBSESSED with tomatoes or something!". But, I thought about it... and it is almost as true as it can be xD I mean, we use tomato as a base for almost all our meals, for example paella or gazpacho, and many, many more. So, well, it's kind of true!
And about pairings... Spain and South Italy are one of my most favorite pairings ever! I just LOVE them to death, cute babys! And, believe me, it's kind of true even in real life: almost ALL Spaniards LOVE Italy. We have also a lot of cultural exchanges, because, for example, a lot of Italian artists get famous here and sing songs in Spanish as well as in Italian, so it would reach both countries. And, about England and Spain... I like them as bitter friends or something like that. We have nothing special against the English people... but what they did to us in the past still hurts somehow. They hurt our pride and that's clearly the worst you can do to a Latino (?). But, of course, they are sexy as they can be in the Pirate era uwu
I don't really know why Hima made China sooo old in first place, but, I must admit Chinese culture is quite... it's not like it hasn't changed through the centuries, but you could say it runs much smoothly than the rest (?) I don't really know how to explain ;O; But it's mostly what you said, it quite "complete"

Yeah, I love manly china as well, but I think he can either be uke or seme, if with Japan he is seme, if with Russia, he is uke, BTW, in my opinion, Russia is the seme for the whole world~❤

'uke' and 'seme' are how these two words pronounced in Japanese, as they are written as 受け and 攻め, just the same way as otaku(お宅), so maybe what you learnt is actually Japanese XD
To be frank, I’m not that into the pairing China×Japan, if it were paring about Asian siblings, I prefer China x Hong Kong~ Kiku is admirable without doubt, I just couldn’t get rid of the overwhelming feeling whenever I read about them and thought how brotherhood was turned to enmity… I agree to the opinion that it is geographically decided that Yao was uke when with Ivan (^o^)/~
It’s hard for me to describe how much I love Ivan, just say that I can totally understand why Natalia is so keen on marrying her brother*lol* Russian literature is quite attractive to me.

Yeah, Russia is soooooo adorable, I especially like his sound, his"唉嘿嘿嘿"was so impressive that I listened to it repeatly~and his characher song is so cute! I mean the one about stove. Ivan looks like a boy who turns black frequently, I also like the couple Russia×Prussia~I found it's difficult to describle my impression to a character with English:(
I didn't think much about china before (though I am a chinese, I spent most of time reading Prussia centered or USUk and DenNor fanfics), but I think it will be supper splendid if China and Japan repair their friednship, I haven't figured out which couple I should support about China.
The only couple about Hongkong that I am familiar is HongIce, when I read DenNor fics I can always see HongIce, that's a couple both strange and nice!
