Funimation's English Subtitled Hetalia: TBW Episode 4

Not sure what's going on with Funimation uploading Hetalia videos on YouTube, but for now, here is Funimation's English Subtitled Version of Hetalia: The Beautiful World - Episode 4. Hope someone posts the English Fansub soon.

Remember that Funimation streams new episodes of this series every Friday at 3 PM EST. You have to have a Funimation account to view it on their website, be in North America, and be 18 & older to view it.

I don't blame you. Not a lot of people in other countries or younger fans can view it. With the addition that you have to make an account there to see it, not just adding in your birthday.

I am more worried on how come Funimation didn't upload the Hetalia episodes on YouTube right after they streamed it on their website. The only thing that came after Psycho-Pass PV videos were the Baka and Test OVAs.

What age certificate are the Hetalia DVDs in the US? In the UK they're
Season1 15
S2 12
Paint it white 12
S3 15
S4 15
So I don't understand why you have to be 18+ to view it on FUNi's channel

FUNi's got a habit lately of only uploading the first few videos of a series to their channel and expecting the fans to know that they can watch it on FUNi's website. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't post the rest of BW to YouTube.

I think it's because Funi rated it MA on the DVDs which means 17+
It shouldn't be MA... it's not that bad. Even with France.
Although I can think of some things that could be animated that would turn it MA...

The rating is MA due to the Funimation English Dubbing that has adult humor in it. It's hard to believe it as well, but even with the original animation scheduled to air in a Kid's TV Program, there are jokes not meant for kids as well. If the webcomic that shows some nudity by the nations, talking about a guy's junk a few times, and the F-word by Mochimerica doesn't scream mature audiences, then there's something wrong with how ratings work.

It's all 18+ for the DVDs in America because of the mature audience ratings. I think Europe and other countries has a different censorship than in US. Depending on the licensing companies like Manga Entertainment for the UK.

They had only uploaded the first 2 episodes on YouTube, but that's it.

The UK has a weird rating system, especially when it comes to anime. The first season of Strike Witches is only a 12 and SW's full of fanservice and bare breasts(with nipples showing!), definitely not suitable for a 12 year old.

They'll probably only post them to their website now on then.

Surprisingly, that's a Funimation English Subtitled that somebody uploaded on another website before being on YouTube now of a different account.

Not really racism, it is only available in North America(more towards the United States in most cases). The same can be said on their YouTube channel as well. They are the company only made for NA as others have different licensing companies for their country like Manga Entertainment for the UK and Madman Entertainment for the AUS.

Also, how the frig did you think it was racist in the first place? Not to sound rude or anything, but I'm just confused.

They didn't use to region block their youtube videos, or atleast they didn't for the first 4 seasons of hetalia and Ouran HighSchool Host Club. Sometimes when they're first uploaded you can watch them without a region block, of course they add the region block not long after so you have to be quick.

It's not racism though...Funimation only has the rights to air it in the US. If they were rich, they'd probably buy the rights to show it in more than one country, but the fact is anime is a pretty niche market over here so they simply can't afford it.

Either that or the Japanese companies don't want Funimation to air it anywhere else. It's probably money-related somehow.

It's still unfortunate though :(
