Nice drawing.
But, sorry for being nitpicking, I find the title a little misleading from a military point of view. During the Dunkirk evacuation, it was the French army who protected the British forces.

No no - by all means - I'm glad someone is commenting on the history and has taken the time to do their research! I've had a few other comments from other people who had no idea what this was referring to, or at all what happened in France during that year.

I focused this piece on the evacuation of France organised by the British to get the remaining troops out of the country and into Britain - I guess both sides worked together and saved eachother before France ultimately surrendered. The interpretation of history is what interests me the most about Hetalia. By the way, the subject of your post reminds me of this old cartoon :
