I went to pick up my calendar today. Pre-ordered it four months ago, so I was veeeerrry happy to get my hands on it at last.

As amazingly awesome as the art is, I think I prefer his slightly older art, from around Vol. 4. I'm not quite as keen on his newer style here.

The really beautiful thing about these pictures is not so much the characters themselves, but the fact that it looks like they were pulled from a moment in their own countries <3 I spazzed so hard when I saw the China one XD it looks like a scene taken from the market I went to when I was in Guangdong <3

I bought it in Japan, but I think you can get it online on yesasia and maybe j-list. You could maybe even get it on amazon at some point, because they do official merchandise.

On a sidenote I love how Italy's background seems really an Italian background. I love the little details he put in it!
I wonder if Himaruya used photos of his trip on Italy to make it...
