I'd love to see more people back here as well. Tumblr is fun and all, but I always felt like LJ gives a fandom a real community feel. It's much easier to interact with a lot of people at once here. And it's so easy to miss stuff on Tumblr if you're not following the right blogs or tags. (On the other hand, it also makes it easier to avoid wank....)

But given the changes that LJ has made, not to mention what they'll be doing soon (http://twissie.livejournal.com/595181.html), it's driving a lot of people off the site.

Yeah, that's exactly why I don't like Tumblr all that much. And it's just too exhausting and time-consuming for me because even though I'm only following a few blogs, I have to spend an unreasonable amount of time scrolling down my dash to make sure I haven't missed anything important.

Goddammit, and here I thought LJ couldn't possibly get any worse. There must be some mole in their staff trying to destroy the site.

I am new to LJ and it is a bit confussing to tell the truth, Tumblr is ok,but it doesn't have the community feel you mentioned. But still LJ confusses me and that's one of the main erasons I reamained inactive, just a silent watcher xD

That's completely understandable. I've had my LJ account for 11 years now, so I've had plenty of time to get used to it. ^_^
