With a big enough box, there even seems to be a weight where EMS is almost the same price as SAL.

I go with SAL only because it's cheap and it hasn't failed me yet. XD But if EMS is cheaper/almost as cheap as SAL, then I'll go with that, so it depends. XD;

There's something weird about my city, where anything shipped from Asia without a tracking number never arrives. xD So.
I don't really get a choice.

But oddly, I've heard of people in the states only having to wait two weeks for SAL before. I guess it's different for everyone, so yeah, if it still shows up, and isn't damaged, it's all good.
