[Question] Where is season 5?

I though there was an announcement about Hetalia Season 5 starting on 31st July?

Even if they start to make an episode on that date, it should be available now that two weeks had passed?

I believe the July 31st announcement was about volume 5 of the manga being released. Though there will be a fifth season to the anime, that probably won't be for a couple of months at the soonest or next year at the latest.

I mean obviously it's next year; they still have DVD releases coming out until the end of December. But. I'd really hoped maybe February-ish...

Well, the Sherlock fandom only has six episodes whereas Hetalia has more than a hundred episodes. XD

I don't think that's the reason. I mean, I never heard a release is postponed cos the seiyuus are too busy. Even if it indeed is the reason, that's not something that is usually made public...

That's a rumour that's been flying around since May (late-April the earliest). I'm pretty sure I saw the same thing on Tumblr when I randomly stumbled on someone's blog and it lacked any sources. Someone also dropped a line to JammerLea back in May about it but she hadn't heard about it herself so it kind of gives a sense of how long it's been flying around!

... Also wow I just unwrapped my copy of volume 5 for no reason other than to look for that url, and out pops an ad saying that volume 5's coming out on July 31st. No, really?

Also, since the episodes are so short, the actors can do several in one session. They talked about it a bit during the 2010 Seiyuu Event. They would work out a day when all of them (or most of them... Daisuke Namikawa seems to be absent a lot of the time) can get together and record. So it's not like they'd have to be there once a week or something.

And on top of that, it's voice acting, not filming. Italy's proof, it can still be done separately as each person has time, rather than needing the entire cast around. xD

If someone really can't make it, the clips can always be swapped around, too, to save scenes with that character for later episodes.


So I think the issue's definitely more with the art and release. That artbook may or may not have a few new illustrations to tide us over. Marukaite Best and the box sets in September and October only finally mark an end to Axis Powers. The box sets in November and December might be followed with a similar thing to end World Series.
Before then, they really have absolutely no need to be working on the anime, announced or not. So my personal guess had been that we'd hear an announcement about it by January. Until we heard last month instead.
I can still see February or March, at least for the start of production /o/

I don't mean to bother you, but which news page was it on?

I thought the date mix-up was only from a Comic Birz cover (One user posted this (http://ic.pics.livejournal.com/gendou_hitler/29132277/692/original.jpg), mentioning the anime but not the manga), and don't remember seeing other official sources of the news.
I feel like it's somewhere obvious, but I keep missing it.

Any help finding that would be appreciated.
