Also yeah Gilbird wears hats lately, it seems. I like to think Prussia fashions them when he needs something to do with his hands and has boxes of little bird clothes and things he dresses his friends in on occasion.

Though I must say, South Italy really confused me for a moment because wow--- what happened. Very different....? The art is a bit... off imo? Another change of style, perhaps?

And yeah, that's another thing i noticed? She's looking really thin and where's her chest gone?! I mean... i dunno, I think it still looks /good/, but it doesn't seem like the Hungary we know and love?

I don't know if anything happened recently or if Hima discovered something about Southern Italy or he was hit by a misfired spell from England or what, but hot daym.

Buuut then, Hungary's looking off as well... So I'm not sure what to make of it :/

Maybe it's just the jacket and maybe the angle? Idk--I agree it's definitely still good, though! Maybe it just came out that way or something. . .I mean, like I said, Romano looks pretty odd, too. It still looks like Hungary but. Not exactly. Maybe he kept doing it over and over again and just decided on this one over whatever the other ones looked like. Who knows! We'll just have to wait and see--it'll be out soon, so I'm sure we'll see pictures eventually, and then people will scan it, too. It's coming out at the end of the month, I think! \;u;/ Just, like, two more weeks!

I was worried about cover art after ordering the special edition-- they tend to look worse than regular edition-- but that's over /o/ Close-ups cut out the background-y space so it looks more like a book cover, less like a promo poster for said book. >w<

It's not just Romano, Austria's hair is a lot smoother on the cover. Maybe he decided to take a little extra time for some hair care before the 'shoot'~?

All the international sources I know of are either already sold out or never got them. Animate still has them, though. So you might want to consider a shopping service.

Same here! *u* And maybe a minor fandom revival? Or something? The cover really came as a shock to me--maybe it means we'll get a lot of lesser-seen characters! (Because I definitely wasn't expecting a [North] Italy-less cover. He is the main character after all.)
Yeah--I'm sure he has. ;o; And I don't think the merch has a whole lot to do with him? I mean, it's using his art, but I don't think I've seen much new art involved in the merch(though, to be fair, I haven't payed all that much attention because lol i can't buy it /o\) so I think he mostly has to okay everything, there! But I'm sure he's resting up--I mean, the manga's probably done by now, they're probably just printing it and, unless he didn't finish the next serialization, he's probably pretty done for a while!

Who knows...? Or maybe he had hired help due to whatever problems/busy schedule he has? It's normal for there to be more than one artist to work on a series together under the direction of the creator/original manga-ka.

Hungary and S.Italy look the most off, but there are small differences in the others also. So, welp... I'd just put it down to change of style or influence from another artist helper or something? I guess we won't know for sure until we get preview images of the insides and so forth.
(Personally I didn't really pay attention to Hungary's differences until I saw that S.Italy looked off xD; I don't like her char. so I don't pay much attention to her stuff, oops????)

I'm kinda happy actually. The lull was nice, but we're all raring to go with volume five, right/ And minor characterssss~ As much as i love the mains, I love the minor ones too, and it'll give them a chance for further development and give them some time in the limelight :3

Ahhh, I'm so glad for him. I know he was overwhelmed with stuff at one point, and he really does try quite hard for us even with our screaming and flipping tables turing HST and blog events and the like.

But yeah, maybe he should travel someplace or something again~

Hungary looks more... girly o_o Maybe Hima is finally understanding how to draw girls? Who knows, maybe I just haven't seem Hungary drawn since 7 months and it's throwing me off, but I do notice some of the differences. Where did your boobs go Hungary?! They look smaller! //shot

Girly? Wow, you're right! She's not supposed to be girly... At least, according to her character? Maybe she's had some secret development?! (Which would be a shame because I really like tomboy Hungary ;w; ))

And I think Hima draws females pretty well compared to other artists. For one, he's got proportions down pretty well and understands that girls also have organs and not just air that they have bitty waists and huge boobs u_u'
