It says "German for the journey" (maybe they mean it as though the content of the book was German?) and "For a cheers in Germany!"

If I remember correctly these books were some kind of simple travel guide with a few words and phrases translated as well as some information about culture, foods, drinks, etc.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember the Spain one to be like that ^^°
