[News] HetaCast: the Hetalia Podcast!
This is HetaCast, the Hetalia Podcast! Hosted by fans just like you from across the world, we're here to talk about Hetalia, and especially the fandom that makes Hetalia an amazing community to belong to!
For those unaware, a podcast is sort of like a radio show, only it's not broadcast across radio waves, it's online. You can usually download and listen to a podcast episode later. We're doing something a little different than many podcasts - we're livestreaming each episode! We'll be making it available to download soon after each episode airs.

Be aware, though, there are many technical issues/hiccups due to the fact that it was kind of like a test run, with a looser structure and less limited cast than how we're going to organise things from now on. :)

1 - Design the HetaCast logo/screen - an image that will be displayed on the HetaCast livestream and Youtube channel during the podcast, so viewers have something to look at instead of a blank black screen! The prize will be having your artwork on the video, and all of the podcaster's thankful internet hugs!
Requirements: Feature the word "Hetacast" in there somehow. Be somewhat Hetalia related, if possible.
Due date: February 29th
How to get it to us: if you can, the best way is through the HetaCast deviantart ( http://hetacast.deviantart.com/ ). If that is not possible, please upload it to an image hosting site and reply to this thread ( http://bro-talia.livejournal.com/2519.html ) with your entry.
2 - Compose the HetaCast intro/outro music - this is pretty self explanatory!
Requirements: The sound clip must be less than 12 seconds, and in an mp3 format.
Due date: February 29th
How to get it to us: You can email it to us with the file attatched ( hetacast@gmail.com ).

HetaCast is in need of more staff! Here are the various positions that will need to be filled:
Judges [5 or more people needed]: You will be asked to judge entries for the various contests we will be running. You'll gain access to an online group that only judges can access, so all voting can be done privately. (You cannot submit contest entries to any contest you judge). To become a judge, email us at hetacast@gmail.com with "Judge App" in the subject line, and we'll email back within the next few days if there's still space, or put you on a waiting list.
Current News [5 or more people needed]: You need to be constantly aware of what is currently going on, in regards to either merchandise, Himaruya, Event news, character songs, etc... Your research and information will be used for each week's news section, so you have to be able to keep abreast of current Hetalia events fairly well. To become a current news person, email us at hetacast@gmail.com with "Current News" in the subject line, and we'll email back if there's still space, or put you on a waiting list.
(We may have more positions that need to be filled later on - things are still in their planning stages).

Once the Nation of the Week segments for an episode are announced, if you are from that nation and would like to talk about your country, send us an email at hetacast@gmail.com with the words "Nation of the Week" somewhere in the subject line! Tell us a little bit about you, what you'd like to be called, how you can participate (Skype is best, but we can work around it if you don't have Skype) and we'll reply with more details so you can join in!
Once the Discussion topics for an episode are announced, if you're interested in joining in the discussion, send us an email at hetacast@gmail.com , with "Main Discussion" somewhere in the subject line, with a few topics you might bring up relating to the main Discussion topic, what country you hail from, a few of your opinions/ideas/experiences that you think are unique or original or interesting, and what you'd like to be called! It is necessary that you have a microphone, and that you have or install Skype and have used it at least once - if you want practice with it, say so in the email and we will arrange something.
If you are interested in participating in both the Nation of the Week segment and the Discussion segment (only applicable if you are from the country we're discussing), then send us an email at hetacst@gmail.com with "Both" somewhere in the subject line, and talk about yourself a bit, with some information including what topics you might bring up relating to the main Discussion topic, a few of your opinions/ideas/experiences that you think are unique or original or interesting, and what you'd like to be called! It is necessary that you have a microphone, and that you have or install Skype and have used it at least once - if you want practice with it, say so in the email and we will arrange something.

We wish we could include everyone in every podcast, but we need to limit the number of participants to a manageable level, so you must wait for a response email that will tell you whether or not you have been selected to be a guest (and if you are a guest, the details for joining the discussion and a way to access the episode planning notes). Also, if you want to request to be a guest on HetaCast, please do so at least 3 days before the actual streaming date of the podcast, and check your email frequently. Thank you!
