[Official] German release date for the manga and a translation preview

Since Tokyopop Europe/Germany is still active, they got the rights for Hetalia over here, as many people already know.
The release date is said to be the 12th March for vol. 1

Tokyopop also uploaded the first few pages in German.

Oh that's fantastic news! Congrats to Germany! Because it's in German, will it be released in other German-speaking countries like Austria and Switzerland or is it just Germany?

In the case it doesn't happen, you can always get it via Amazon and import it =)

Ah, I hope that's the case! I know someone from Austria who would be thrilled to get her hands on a copy. I'm from Canada so I'm obliviously not going to find it here. I'm considering buying it as a way to brush up on my poor German. XD

I know from the newer manga from tokyopop (last I bought was Deadman Wonderland Vol 2. which was released in June or July) and they have prices for Austria printed on the backside, so they do sell them in Austria =) And I guess that applies to all mangas they release now.

I am noooot sure about Switzerland, I guess they do sell them there, too, but I'm not so sure about how common mangas are there in bookstores. I had to ask my friend from Switzerland for that ^^°

Well, don't know about the newer mangas, most of my Tokyopop mangas are older releases (the newest is Death Note xD)...
The newest releases in my shelf are all Carlsen or Egmont/EMA

I didn't expect it to happen, given the subject matter.
Every time Hetalia gets licensed for international release I review the first pages and think my headcanon has strayed so far in my fandom niche that it's like another series entirely....

Ich hoffe mal dass ich bis dahin ein wenig Geld zusammenkratzen kann (hab mir in der letzten Zeit zu viel gegönnt).
