I have a simple question

Hii sorry, does anybody know when and how did Himaruya revealed the human names of the countries?? I really want to know! Thanks! :)

I think he made one blog post where he suggested some names for the main countries because fans asked for them. I don't know when (probably two years ago). He never uses them in his comics though.

Actually he used Alfred once in the strip about the hair straightener, but only because America was in a commercial.

He also used Honda-san, when referring to Japan, in the 2008 April fools event.

Other than that, yeah he hasn't used them.

There was also a slight hint to Lithuania's name in the Drama Prologue CD. Lithuania refers to himself as "T" in track 2.

Omg, really?

Where I can find that strip?

And here's the April fools strip.

According to the wiki, they were revealed in 2008.

A year ago, or so he said he didn't really want to give human names because he feels his naming skills are bad.

The humans names date back to about 2008 and I think they were posted on his blog but they were discarded later on in the year (I think he created the names after a fan requested them for shipping purposes but I can't confirm this as fact). A new set of human names were posted for characters like Denmark, Norway and Ukraine and a few of the Nyotalia characters last year and were names that fans suggested to him. That post can be found here: http://himaruya.blog61.fc2.com/blog-entry-946.html#more

I don't know if Himaruya still has the post up for the original batch of names. Himaruya is known for deleting his stuff and lots of stuff such as trivia, strips and unfinished art from this period is pretty much lost (unless fans saved the info). In all honesty though, I wouldn't be surprised if it's been deleted.

He made the names for the Japanese fans.
They felt awkward using the countries' names, so they asked for the human ones.

..just adding that in. ^^;;

Well, I knew it was for Japanese fans. The English fandom wasn't as widespread back then as it is now. XD But thanks for confirming my suspicions!
