Blog comics and pictures moved to the main site and a Denmark and Norway comic!

The latest blog post doodles and comics are now also located here. Himaruya has also added a new comic, including Denmark and Norway!

The old comics:
First Turkey And The EU comic
Second Turkey And The EU comic
Mastermind Germany EU comic
Norwegian Butter Crisis chibi

Here's the new chibi doodle, for a preview, in which Norway is Christmas shopping. Or something. The text beneath the comic says "Norwegian Butter Crisis!" so we're probably still on that topic! Is it hard to have Christmas without butter. . . ?
Translation and scanlation by [livejournal.com profile] lost_hitsu! Minor-major correction made by [livejournal.com profile] aselav

The Norwegian butter crisis! Because of the recently popular diet methods,
the demand for butter got so large that it practically disappeared
from shops, as the news from everywhere informed.

But then Denmark came with the "Let's save Norway's Christmas!" plan,
and offered butter support free of charge.

Since it's so cold in the Nordic countries, it isn't surprising that
the calorie intake there is rather high, so high in fact that it can
put to shame even a calorie imperium like America. Adding butter alone
can possibly help with the digestion.
Something that probably won't be a good idea in warmer countries....

I have no idea what's going on, but I feel like 'poor Norway' will probably end up being appropriate.

(last senence is a note about Denmark's Ibaraki dialect that was presumably useful only for the translator)

And I can't wait for Christmas event ~

First. YES DENMARK/NORWAY!

Second, Hima-papa's art really is improving isn't it? It's really beautiful, at least more than before
icelilly: (norway approves)

OMG NORDICS!!! <3 I swear, these guys get cuter and cuter every time Himaruya draws them (as if they couldn't get any cuter than before!).

On another note, the way he drew Norway in the second panel... you can really see the resemblance between him and Iceland. Just look at that face and hair!

[identity profile] sparklishh.livejournal.com 2011-12-21 08:33 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm so happy that he's showing some more love for the nordics!

And I KNOW RIGHT? I find that they have a very similar flustered expression! XD

Busy squealing because Norway and Denmark are around.

XDDDDDD very funny! Poor Norway! What kind of diet are Norwegians doing? Butter make fat... boh.
I've read that there's a fat tax in Denmark on butter and also other food dangerous for health... each Countries has got its problems... :3

[identity profile] sparklishh.livejournal.com 2011-12-21 08:36 pm (UTC)(link)
DENNOR INTERACTION HIMAPAPA ILU.

I love Norway's flustered face in the second panel.

[identity profile] chiisana00.livejournal.com 2011-12-21 08:49 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm not sure where the whole "cut down butter production for the sake of healthy diet" came from, since that is not what I read from my Norwegian source 6___9

I though we're forced to cut down production because the cows this year didn't produce enough milk (with required fat content) to make butter, but... >_____>;;

[identity profile] amylerajie.livejournal.com 2011-12-21 10:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Yup, it's the contrary that what Himaruya said, in fact. XD
Norwegian farmers can't produce more milk than a quota (they have to pay a fee if they have a surplus, in fact) and lately there was a diet fashion of eating more butter, so, obviously, the farmers couldn't produce more milk... and the Norwegian economy is quite closed, so importation is difficult... Sweden, Finland and Russia had problems with butter too, in october, if I remember correctly :)

I'm glad we have some more Denmark and Norway interaction, it seems like forever. And their winter wear is adorable.
I wonder what type of cake Norway would make~
