[Official] New Hatafutte Parade revealed?
http://hetalia.com/news/index11.htm#111202
I was watching the official Hetalia page, and then also on the hetalia wikinet that the new Hatafutte Parade version will be a duet by the siblings Netherlands and Belgium. It will be relased with the "Hetalia: World Series" Limited Edition Fan Disc on January 25th, as you may know. Since I absolutely suck at Japanese, I need this information to be confirmed, and I hope somebody could help me. Personally, I think it'll be awesome to have an oficial duet and I love this two characters XD
Well, hope this can be confirmed, see ya

For Canada it might just be a seiyuu thing. Konishi voices both Canada and America. He might not feel comfortable singing in the very different voice he uses for Canada.

Plus Kousaka also voices Estonia... and I think Estonia had more screen than Greece, I think... For that I think it's based on character popularity in Japan :S

Yes, It would be great if at least one or two of these could have their songs (Especially those who had a lot of screen -and I'd call them as co/protagonist of some episodes- like Canada, Estonia or Latvia)

....What. That...does not make sense. So, because they tend to focus on giving the main 8 and Prussia more songs because they're the popular characters that sell well, they...shouldn't try to give other characters songs? What? I think what they're doing is fine overall, it makes perfect sense. Of course the popular characters get more, but they're also actually being cool in realizing that pretty much all the characters have fans and are trying to please other people, too. It's a nice change, really, since a lot of the merchandise that comes out doesn't bother with quite a few characters. Hell, most of the merchandise is main Axis and Allies only.
My only real complaint is how many damn songs Prussia gets, but that's just because I think the singing voice that his seiyuu uses for him is too damn grating to listen to more often than not. Of all his songs, his HFP is the only one I can tolerate. Other than that I have a fem!Prussia fandub of Mein Gott downloaded that I like but of course that doesn't exactly count.
Look at your own damn list. It's pretty impressive how many characters have gotten songs. It's pretty likely that eventually everyone that's relatively popular and actually appears in the anime will get a song.

Even with no new season announced I'm sure DEEN will be making more Hetalia. It's such a cash cow for them. And more anime will mean more songs.

I am a bit biased and love those two so I am happy for it, but I wonder why they picked them!

And I do agree it's too bad Matthew still hasn't gotten his own Hatafutte yet. But still, I'd love to hear Netherlands sing. XD

Belgium and Ned are really popular among Japanese fans, so of course they would have gotten a song eventually :P
It's as simple as this: western fans often forget that popularity ranks aren't the same in Japan, and while western fans (mostly American) are desperate to have Canada sing, the truth is...he really isn't that popular among japanese fans. Another example would be how incredibly popular Iceland is in Japan (he sure gets by far the most attention of all the nordics), while here the most popular would probably be Sweden.
What I'm trying to say is, while Himaruya usually tries to please all kinds of fans, Deen focuses entirely on the Japanese market, so if your favorite character hasn't got a song yet, it probably just means Deen's got other priorities at the moment, whether we like it or not.
On another note, I'm really excited for the next HFP ^^ Since Netherlands really hasn't got that many lines in the show, it's difficult for me to imagine how he will sound while singing...Belgium's so cute, I can't wait :D
One thing I like about the character songs is that they often reference many things from the comic that haven't been animated yet :)

ngl all this butthurt about it being Belgium and Netherlands is kind of annoying me. If you're irked that your favorite character hasn't gotten a song yet, shouldn't you be more annoyed at the fact that Prussia has a Marukaite Chikyuu, a Hatafutte Parade, AND two character songs? Or with how the main Axis and Allies get everything, though that's a bit more understandable since they're technically the main characters. It's much more likely that America's popularity is to blame re; why Canada hasn't gotten a song yet, since Konishi voices them both, so every time they're doing songs and get Konishi recording one they probably want him doing America each time because America is more likely to sell.
