Eriko Nakamura (Belgium) definitely knows how to sing. She's the voice of Haruka Amagi in Idolm@aster.

I haven't heard Nobuya Mine (Netherlands) sing before, but he has sung before. He sings in a character song album for his character in Inazuma ELeven (Tobitaka Seiya).

As much as I love Canada and want him to get a song, I know that any song they give him will never live up to my standards i.e. rock music or fiddles. Also It's prolly just because singing as canada would be really difficult.

So I'll take what I can get. Really looking forward to another duet, especially from Neth and Belbel~

I'm happy about getting a Belgium & Netherlands song...but frustrated that Netherlands hardly even had one line in the anime and he gets a song, and yet there are so many poor, neglected characters *coughcoughCANADAANDCUBAcough* who haven't gotten any songs yet. >_< (And the fact that it'd be difficult to sing as Canada is no excuse! If he could pull off America, then he could pull off Canada too! >=( *is very upset because I was seriously holding out hope that Canada might get a song for the fan disc*)

I know, I know! It really isn't fair...I mean, c'mon, if characters who hardly even appeared in the anime (i.e. Iceland, Ukraine, Belarus, and now Belgium and Netherlands) are able to get songs, then why can't we get songs for the characters who have been in the show pretty much since it started? Poor Canada's been in it since the beginning, and even Estonia and Latvia had plenty of appearances early on, and c'mon, even Cuba had more lines than Netherlands (and maybe even Belgium, for that matter)! >_>;; I seriously don't get how they make the decisions as to who gets to sing songs...(There really shouldn't be any excuse for Estonia--if Kousaka Atsushi could pull off singing songs for Prussia and Greece, then there's no way he can't pull off singing as Estonia (especially since Estonia's the only character of those three who speaks in a normal, not-screaming and not-whispering tone >_>); and if Kousaka Atsushi could pull off singing Greece's "Hatafutte Parade," then I'm sure that the oh-so-talented Konishi Katsuyuki-sama (and I'm not being sarcastic when I say that--the guy somehow manages to pull off roles ranging from America to Soubi (from Loveless)!) could pull off singing in Canada's voice! So it's obviously not a lack of ability...it's just the people in Studio DEEN, or whoever makes the decisions for who gets a song, looking at what we want, and giving us something completely random instead! >_> /end angry/frustrated rant)

For me, they get their songs not because they're recognised as a country or not. Not based on the amount of line they have in the anime/manga or how much they've appeared. I'm sure they're considering about the character popularity as well as the the capability of the seiyuu to sing the song well. Some seiyuus even refuse to sing, btw. Like Ishida Akira. Not to be disrespectful to any fans of those characters that don't have HFP yet but DEEN will always consider those characters that are more popular in Japanese fandom. If you're saying why Canada, although popular but doesn't have any HFP, probably since the world series episodes haven't covered about him enough. As we can see, Netherlands&Belgium got their HFP(s) because of their debut and the 'theme' of those episodes about Romano in Spain's house. Don't get mad that those characters you like are not really favoured by the others. I found some of my favouriter characters are rather 'under-rated' too but there is no need to be irritated with such thing. Like wise, Western fandom doesn't favor Japan as much as the Japanese fandom. So why don't we take it easy.

I doubt there will be anything more from the anime in this DVD other than what we've seen unless they add it for the special bonus. So no tomato gang related episodes here. Just 3 extra episodes that we have watched

Yeah, I know, don't mind my frustrated rambles; I know there must be some sort've method to the madness, so to speak, and I'm not opposed in the slightest to Belgium & Netherlands getting songs...I'm just opposed to the neglected characters not getting songs. >_<;; Well, here's hoping for another new season, with another new set of songs and another chance to hold our breath for the overlooked characters to have their time in the singing spotlight. ^^;;

Though as much as the Belgium and Netherlands fangirl in me is very happy, where's the Canada love? Or Latvia love? Or even Estonia love? I would much rather have them get songs than Netherlands. I mean, he only appeared for 5 seconds. The Nordics have appeared more than he has! (BTW I want songs for Denmark and Norway as well. Lets complete the Nordic circle!!)

Hope we will get a big arc that covers Canada/Latvia/Estonia if you want to have their songs. He may only appeared for 3seconds but in the manga(and Japanese fandom) he's quite popular. I wish there will be more Nordics too but DEEN said otherwise... So maybe we should wait or hope DEEN will make a new season for Hetalia
